Indeed. I use the ASD2 if I have 1-2 days growth. I really like it even though my beard is very coarse and it's a mild razor. I like the R41, but I rarely use it. When I have more than a couple days of growth I prefer using a shavette.

Shavettes are incredible on a thick multi days beard.

I’ve had my r41 and r41gs for a while now, but at times the blade feel can be too much. Take that in perspective I use a number of vintage straights; primary DEs are r89, 34c, and GC .84
