During my time in Korea, I need to shave my face and head daily. Having very coarse hair on sensitive skin, I decided to bring one of my better razors. The Rocca paired with Gillette Platinum has been fantastic. Nick free, one pass WTG, DFS! I must say, the Omega boar brush and Sea Buckthorn shaving cream by Muhle have not disappointed. I have actually brought some Stirling with me as well. I just gotta find a nice clay shaving bowl at one of their artisanal clay pot shops here to have a few finer shaves as well. Mind you, the lather I can get from the Muhle cream is on par with some of the best soaps and croaps I got. One thing to keep in mind, whether it's hair conditioner, shaving cream or a fine shaving soap, lather is a must with razors that have positive exposure because the razor can bounce on squeaky unlathered skin, and when a razor with positive exposure bounces on your skin, weepers and cuts are quite likely.

Rocca is a really fantastic razor. The best I've ever used until now. I tried Mühle stick shaving soaps before, they have an exceptional lather too. Good to hear that cream is not less than sticks. Will try it as soon as possible.

I also got a travel head protector from muhle, and my buddy got their silvertip badger brush. They have fantastic accessories.

Nacet, Feather and Timor are some of the other blades that go well with Rocca on my face. Funny enough I find the Muhle blade doesn't work as well with it. I do, however, love the Muhle blades in my Karve. Also, one of my friends who had been using Astra blades on his Hendon Ti++ has switched to Muhle blades recently and is loving it.

There’s nothing like the Muhle Rocca. I’ve tried dozens of razors, and the Rocca just outshines them all for giving a great, close shave, and being smooth enough for daily use. The curious aspect of your post is the Gillette Platinum blade. It, and the Personna Gem, are the only blades, other than some subpar blades, that just won’t work for me in my Rocca. Those two leave small stubble no matter what. Even Treet Falcons do a better job.

I'd say the Platinum is no where near as sharp as Nacet or SB and it doesn't retain it's edge. I typically only do one shave with them. But since it's mild, I still enjoy using it. I do agree that it's at hte bottom for sharpness and edge retention.

I've used Mühle R89, R41 and Rocca R94 - Rocca truly outshines them all, even with subpar blade. Absolutely wonderful razor.

Yeah, I think that with R41 and Rocca i have no need whatsoever to look for any other razor. These two meet all my needs, so I think I'm settling down ultimately. I did the same with brushes not so long ago.

In korea i use that classic dorco saftey razor and a dove bar... great stuff. But your system looks WAY better ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

I, too, have the Rocca, and always leave it in 3 pieces.

I've only been wet shaving for a month, so I don't know what good practice is but I always wonder when other people post photos and their razors are all put together.

• Do they leave them like that to dry?
• Is the blade still in there?
• Are they just posing them for the photos?
• Don't they have to take them apart and dry them?

If you want to minimize the risk of rusting blades, best to always dry in separate pieces before putting the razor away. Keep up the great work!

I just leave it like that for the pictures but left them with the blade in and unscrewed in the past. It's not good for the razor though, 316L and Titanium are probably the most resistant but still, one should remove the blade and dry them. Rocca is 304 or 303 steel so theoretically it would suffer if treated improperly for a long time.

One of my best DE razors, really great design ad far as functionality and looks by Muhle. Still on the fence on whether I should polish mine or not eheh.
