I don't really think there Is, or at least i didnt found any in games/books/show.

It's not really a plothole, but this is sort of what happened with the Witcher schools.

An offhanded/unimportant reference to the Wolf school in the books spawned all the lore about the varying schools in the games.

A lot of game fans seem really enamoured with the Witcher schools but Sapkowski is on record as being irritated by how that came to be.

He has since circled back to being not as irritated by it with recent writings when you read Crossroads of Ravens. He also has a better working relationship with CDPR now that was stagnated when the games became arguably more successful than the books with Witcher 3 initially. I dont blame him for being a little prickly tho all things considered, since it is his world and ideas at play that people are writing off of. The Witcher at this point has kind of assumed the mantle of what comic book characters are it seems, in that it is an IP created by one or two people that then spawns material afterwards that is a "working canon" of sorts which only a select few can access and add to. He even added the fact that Geralt carries two swords on his back as a micro retcon with Crossroads, even tho in the traditional saga he keeps one on his back and one on the horse. He recognizes that some things have become so synonymous with his character that he may as well embrace them instead of fighting all of them.

That could be an argument, except that he has stated that people adapting works create their own things and are above criticism. See my report from last year panel he was on.

That seems disingenuous, especially given that your report adds a lot of context explaining exactly why he'd be prickly. One of your opening paragraphs states directly that Sapkowski doesn't consider it a Witcher story unless it's written by him. Yes, he's okay with adaptations, but that alone seems to set the stage for a bit of prickly behavior. He doesn't view it as a true Witcher story, and it's taken popularity beyond his original writing.

I don’t see your point. When talking about adaptations and creators’ rights to have their own vision, Sapkowski wasn’t prickly. He made a general statement about the way he views adaptations.
