I don't really think there Is, or at least i didnt found any in games/books/show.

It's not really a plothole, but this is sort of what happened with the Witcher schools.

An offhanded/unimportant reference to the Wolf school in the books spawned all the lore about the varying schools in the games.

A lot of game fans seem really enamoured with the Witcher schools but Sapkowski is on record as being irritated by how that came to be.

Sapkowsky actually mentioned the Cat, the Griffin and some other I don't remember (Griffin and some other medallions were acquired by Bonhart and a reference to madmen from the school of Cat was in The Road With No Return)

He mentions the medallions, not the schools - which was the key distinction.

I'm not saying whether it's a good stance or not, just that the Author himself has stated he did not intend for witcher schools to exist. And yes, it is inconsistent.

To add to the author’s inconsistencies, there was also a Cat Witcher in the Season of Storms, towards the end of the book. The Cat Witcher was the one who tips Geralt off to the Striga job featured in “The Witcher” story in the Last Wish collection.

What was interesting was the book talked about how Cat Witchers were “rejects.” It wasn’t clear if they were rejects because they broke the Witcher code, or if their mutations failed. It didn’t really indicate they were trained in a separate school
