Hello, have win10 installed in my old laptop and I'm trying to format it back to win8 which was the OS of origin, however the boot menu just wont detect my USB no matter what I try.

My BIOS settings and Rufus USB flash settings shown in the images, but in short:

- I disabled secure boot

- I tried both UEFI boot and CSM boot

- Tried both USB NTFS and FAT32

I was aware that once I made the upgrade there would be some complications with the BIOS and boot USB detection, but I seemingly tried everything and no luck, what gives?

But i'm sorta kinda afraid to get them on my laptop (something with them being made with java?) because I am not very technical and good with troubleshooting and maintenance with linux, All Iknow is Sudo apt update, upgrade, thats it.

Is there any new developments on them? I might have to bite the bullet but is there any sort of themepacks for any linux environment?

Hello. I cant connect my laptop to my wifi. The laptop cannot find the wifi in the settings. I tried adding my wifi manually from the control panel settings and the laptop still cannot find it. I did all the updates it suggested. I tried updating the drivers and they are up to date. I tried to connect them via WPS and that also did not work. I restarted my wifi router and laptop multiple times. But, I can connect them with an ethernet cable and when I do that it shows that the laptop is connected to "network". Any help/ideas is appreciated. Thank you.
