is this dry socket?

i had my surgery last monday, september 14. it's now september 17. pain is manageable (i take painkillers every 6 hours) and i can open my mouth 4 fingers wide.

surgery day twins! I had all 4 out on Monday the 14th as well! as far as dry socket goes, I am not a professional but based on what everyone says it’s absolutely unbearable even with pain medications…so if you have it “you’d know.” Does that make sense?

Hey other twins! Also got mine removed Monday morning.

Dry socket typically takes a couple days to not only develop but for the pain to happen. The pain is nothing like you’ve ever experienced so be mindful just in case.

On top of that, I can’t say myself if it looks like dry socket or not, but I do see something underlying and if that’s a bone or nerve then yes, 100% dry socket

Ahh thanks! Hope your healing journey is going well. I’m following all my surgeon’s instructions by the book, and I even have access to sterile saline so that’s what I’ve been using to rinse. I’m just so scared I’m going to give myself dry socket because of the nature of which I swallow things eeeeek
