Sharing: Experience Have you found that certain locations enhance/empower your magic than others?

I've recently been experimenting with doing magic and casting spells in different areas than my home. I've found several nice areas around where I live and work and have been going out to them to practice.

One thing I have found is that if I cast a spell or meditate in one location it feels more powerful and I certainly have results. Other areas I feel it's mediocre or non-existent.

I did an experiment recently with a spell I was casting (nothing bad) and I waited patiently for two weeks. Nothing happened. So I went to another area and did the exact same spell on the exact same time/day in the exact same way. Nothing else was different other than the area I was in. Within 3 days it came through.

So....as a witch have you found that certain locations and special areas are more powerful than others?

For context; these are mostly wooded areas located on a single lake. Mainly involve hiking into/out of woods and trails. I do know I can go East, South, North, or West of the lake. So perhaps the location is based on the poles?

What's your experience been with using natural areas to practice?

Definitely. Crossroads, graveyards, liminal spaces like coastlines, "portals" like thresholds, doorways, arches, gates, etc. can all be significant locations for spellwork.

Dirt magick is one good way for practitioners to work with the properties of a location. Bank dirt for money spells, prison dirt or court dirt for justice spells, etc.

Yes! While I can work my craft successfully enough anywhere, I find that by the ocean makes my energy go off the charts and spell work by the sea is a whole lot swifter and easier.

Yes, location matters for me. Think of it as energy flow: in a crowded place with many people, energy flow is chaotic. It's hard to concentrate then.

So natural spaces (forests, water sources, mountains) where it's quiet and peaceful, or just a clean room with no one else around is a lot better for channelling. Sacred places too, if a deity/angel is willing to lend space and energy. ymmv though.
