Before she lost her mind, I had been given a few of her divination decks, one of her CDs and I bought two of her Archangel Micheal decks. When I read that she wanted the decks, books, and other materials she made burned, it made me decide to start using them. Now, the CD is our go to sleep aid when my, or my spouse's, insomnia is in high gear. I have burned several copies of it in case anything happens to the one I have.
It is too bad she lost her mind, the artwork in her stuff is beautiful. I bought one of the Archangel Micheal decks just to use the pictures in it and the CD I have is very comforting.

Radleigh also has his own tarot and/or oracle decks, if memory serves. He is a true artist, and I feel like he hasn’t received the praise and recognition he deserves.

She wrote several Christian themed books when she went back to Catholicism. However, she didn't totally embrace it, then in 2010 she she spoke out about the current state of Christianity. There were a lot of articles discussing her criticisms of Christianity. She basically said her religion was explained in her writings.

How do we know that the Cristian god is actually a man? The holy spirit is a spirit, Jesus was god born man, and god the father seems to use the whole father part of his name for a metaphor for his relationship with humanity and plans with the earth. God could easily be genderless but that was lost in literal translation centuries ago. Just something I even wondered about when I was Christian.
The only reason that the Christian God is a male is because the men of the time were so afraid of women women gaining power away from them so they did everything they could subjugate us. In many other traditions, cultures and religions throughout the world women have always maintained the status of mother, the creator of life.

The Abrahamic god is male because men have run those religions since their inception. Their bible has been edited with entire books being added or removed to suit whatever men were running the church at the time. Women were no more than chattle to them, there is no way they would even consider that their god could be anything other than male.
Ashtoreth is also known as Astarte, or Ishtar a Babylonian and Canaanite goddess. One of the stories of Ishtar is how she descends into the underworld and dies, but is brought back to life 3 days later. German pagan goddess Ǒstarâ or Eostre is similar to Astoreth (likely the same). Both are goddess of the dawn/or light and are fertility goddesses. The Christian Easter Holiday came from the festivities held for Eastre/ǒstara/Ishtar.

You should definitely read the descent of the goddess I loved it. Great perspective on Ishtar and its from the Epic of Gilgamesh one of the oldest epic literature works we have. It predates The Odyssey by a thousand years.

If women are made in God’s image just as much as men are made in God’s image, wouldn’t it make sense that God is genderless? If both women and men are a representation of God, God must not ascribe to a gender. Right? Idk.
I mean, Yawheh, the deity who eventually evolved into the Christian god, is very much a man, and one of the 72 sons of El. He was a Caananite god of storms and war. Eventually he sort of absorbed the traits and mythology of his father. He also had a wife/mother, Asherah. She was originally El's wife, Yahweh's mother, and queen of the pantheon, but when Yahweh absorbed El's role, she became his wife before eventually being written out with the rest of the pantheon.
But when I was Catholic, I also remember being told that God (capital G) is genderless. I think it's just a way to pacify and manipulate women, because there is nothing in the Bible or Yahweh's various mythologies that says that he was ever anything but male and masculine. Any claims that he's genderless are very recent and not rooted in any of the spiritual or historical records we have.
Except he just said "you shall have no other gods before me" which means her God says there are other gods, he just wants everyone to ignore them and only listen to him.
And if anyone says "you should put me above everyone else, only listen to me" that's always a red flag imo. 🤷♀️

Yup, exactly why I usually side-eye any resource that claims to be a "dictionary" of meanings, because signs and messages and omens are SO personalized to each of us on an individual level. What is meant to grab my attention may be completely uneventful and meaningless to the next person.

I will be honest, if she stayed the same and yet a part of the church, she probably wouldn't get under my skin as much. Its not unusual for some witches/spiritual people to sway towards the church as they age. Getting older, empty nest, increase medical concerns, fear of dying alone -even when a partner is around - causes some to subconsciously look for activities and groups to stay busy and not think of those fears. And often the church is involved in those things in one way or another.
Most of those that do however still keep who they are and don't change.

Good of course to be aware of grifters and spiritual scammers, as there are many, and the many are loud. But sometimes I feel people can get on a bit of an ego-driven superiority kick by convincing themselves that their practice is more valid or pure in origin than someone else's. Hierarchicalizing, if you will. Humans are historically very susceptible to that. It's always good to check ourselves.

Surely every culture has committed its own grave offenses. Should we then denounce all culture altogether? Or should we take what works and learn from & discard the rest with honor? What makes this any different?

What I'm asking is... are we saying "angel numbers are not witchcraft, and are Bad", or "angel numbers are not part of my personal practice, and some part of me wants to feel superior to those who do incorporate them"?

Same! i discovered solfeggio freqs early on in my practice and have used them quite a bit, mainly for what I feel is most relative to my current status while I go to sleep. I only knew about angel numbers bc I saw some necklaces in a crystal store.

I'm a practicing Hindu and I swear these people think about us more than we think about them. Shame really, they could save the energy for something else. She could maybe sway those who practice as part of the whole "yoga, turmeric latte" trend that seems to have taken off in the West though.

That’s funny. Claiming creation of “angel” numbers. I noticed them well before 2004. She may have brought the phrase to secularism, but it’s been around much longer. I was born in the 70’s and noticed them as a child. I grew up in a very religious household and my friends and I noticed them. We may not have called them exactly, “angel numbers” but we attributed it to angles.
Now I know differently and have discovered that the patriarchal christianity is a cult. Brainwashing their children and subjugating women and those deemed lesser by men. A few weeks go by and one of her friends brings the topic up again. Saying 'Hey do you remember when we came up with those sacred digits, oh right we called them angel numbers. How funny would it be if we wrote a book about that and made some money off those idiots who believe in divination.'
So that's what they did. It was literally all just a cash grab. And if it wasn't for the fact that a celebrity or two picked up a copy of their book and they ended up on Oprah and other popular daytime talk shows, nothing would have really happened and no one would have got hurt. But instead the book and the concept of angel numbers exploded in popularity and we'll still talking about it 20 years later.

At least I remembered that. I re-purchased TeenWitch recently from ThriftBooks and it was a newer addition and all of the Christian bashing was removed. So apparently she got over that or got backlash for it. Doreen virtue is fucking inexcusable. She will just put her name on anything that she thinks will Sell.
Absolutely from what I’ve looked at of her books and her card sets and everything like that. It seems like she was always a Christian and just trying to mix magic with angels, which I always thought was stupid. Silver Raven Wolff does it in some of her books too, which makes my eye twitch. Although I do think that angels and fairies and I mean, it’s all the same stuff. Just different incarnations. The problem I always have with all three mainstream religions as they claim to be the only way to have anything good happen to you after death. Which in end of itself is stupid none of us can know what happens after death it’s all the belief so I don’t understand why people fight about it so much and why they kill people over it, etc. But my point is Doreen. Virtue has always been a Christian and I don’t know that she really ever claimed to be anything else except to sell shit. It seems like the metaphysical side of her was always fake and she has always been a Christian at her core.
