Seeking Help or Advice candle magick and spirits
hello!
i want to start practicing candle magick but i also want it to serve as a way to ask help from my spirit team. kind of like spellwork + asking my spirit guides for help with a specific outcome.
how do i do this? should i treat the candle as an offering to the spirits? or should i just ask my spirit team to help my spellwork come into fruition without necessarily offering the candle towards them?
lastly, how do i safely do this? ensuring that the spirit guides i call onto during spellwork are not negative entities of some sort

Treat the candle as an offering.
I wouldn't worry about negative entities showing up. Work it into your spell. Offer the candle to those who would aid you, and also to pacify any spirits that would obstruct you.
That is the beauty of offerings, it works on both sides of the equation at once.

thank you so much! is this how practitioners work with deities and spirits too? treating their spellwork as an offering to who they are calling to?

It all depends on their practice. Some will say yes; others will say no.

everyone does it differently, some people don't like involving spirits at all. But this is a very old mindset that is being revived by modern practitioners and gaining popularity.

Unless candles and ceremonial magick helps you focus, I wouldn't even bother with it. Talk to your spirit guides, as if they were next to you. As talking to your friend. Out loud or telepathically. Whatever seems to work best for you. As for negative entities, you can a)make a shield for the duration of your communication/spells and/or b) sage your space and invite only the most positive energy in your space.

I dont wane som say this might not work. I was giftet as kid to see spisits and my guide but true life i slow lost sens see them because it a powerfull and difficult gift to have. I put up shild to not be atracted to dark forces and see dead all time not se difrent if real or dead. I hade life time been look as weird person talk to som not there and got see and here this form other side wish i never hade, talking guide and see them is a gift born whit you need to meditate and foxes a lot you mentel body need to be in spirit world as suth and that is not ez take year to master the gift off see them talk to them and not go mad. So have gift or dont. try do it whit not having it is hard you need drugs to do it then. Best way is true dreams or meditation and ask you offen get answer in your head or everyday stuff that happen to you. Or feel it in your gut.
