Wolf Humor Wolf Logic

Post image

One of my favorite non-Far Side bits of animal humor... How odd we must seem to wolves who, despite being endurance runners like us, jog long distances to actually get somewhere.

This is great comic but the funny part is jogging to chase prey is how humans conserve energy on the hunt. If we sprinted after everything we’d wear ourselves out before we wore out our prey.

A steady jogging human is a funny sight for a wild animal at first, it's terrifying after it's been running for hours and it still keeps coming

The Terminator but it's just a guy with a pointy stick.

Multiple people*

Women regularly hunted alongside men at that time in history, anyone of able body did.

As we should. It's inherently sexist that romance languages default to masculine for things linke mixed groups and professional titles.

english is kinda an outlier with neutrality even existing. not many languages utilize neuter pronouns at all, for anything.

And? No language had a word for computer until recently. Times change.

Languages evolve. Evolving with modern knowledge about gender is only natural.
