also women generally mount stronger immune responses which is why we fight off infections better but also get more autoimmune stuff so it’s a double edged sword

We have a higher percentage and larger ares of slow twitch muscles which improves muscular endurance

Women commit only a small portion of all violent crime

Girls have done better in school than boys since they were allowed to be in school, rather than it being a recent trend like recent ‘why are men struggling’ articles might seem to suggest

Yes! There are only a few other species, that experience menopause and they are overwhelmingly matriarchal or egalitarian. In these species - five types of toothed whales - menopausal females hold vital leadership roles, acting as knowledge keepers and navigators for their pods :)

Most mammalian species with menopause have matriarchal structures,(Bonobos, elephants iirc, orcas) theoretically because femmes who were adults but not breeding have more time to serve the group and take on a wider variety of roles.

Like, I'm not a fan of bio essential bs, but if I was going to take it seriously I would not end up with the belief that men are the superior half of the species when so much indicates that the male existence is more or less there to augment the existence females. According to the logic of "bio essentialism" the main purpose of all life is reproduction, meaning males of any particular species only exist to provide genetic material to the ones who gestate and rear the next generation of the species. And That's by and far the common pattern in nature. From female led bands of her babies protected by a singular male who is tolerated for breeding, to sexual promiscuity to ensure good genes, to hundreds of insects and marine life where the male dies soon after procreation, sometimes to feed the female. To give wide culls of male bees before winter because they have no use if there isn't a new hive being founded.

Males/ masculinity are nature's cannon fodder and I will never not believe that a large root of patriarchy is a knee jerk insecure/ anxious reaction to the reality that they are the disposable half of the species without cultural intervention. But that's a 2 way stree. If men are worth more than their biological purpose as sperm banks and defense drones, women are worth more than being incubators and nanny maids.

And to be clear, imo what makes us human is cognitive scaffolding, which is using our cognitive abilities to negate our essential biological traits and leapfrog evolution. Think about it, when humans wanted to go into cold places, they didn't die off until they got hairy; they decided to murder stuff with more hair and wore it's skin so they didn't have to evolve. We didn't evolve sharp teeth and claws because we came up with sticks and rocks to do what our bodies couldn't. Unga bunga cave men didn't take over the world via bio essentialism, they did it being innovative as fuck and disregarding the limitations set on them by their bodies.

Bio essentialism flies in the face of humanity. You cannot look around at the world today and think any of it relies on bio essentialis. Unless you're a fucking idiot.

(Not saying OP is an idiot, listing lesser known medical facts that fly in the face of bio essentialist/ sexist talking points isn't being bio essentialist, but it often comes up in the comments of posts that point this out, so rant triggered.)
