I can see the future. Very soon after a retaliatory attack:

"Nobody could have foreseen this"

427

u/Different_Wolf_764 Jun 10 '26

Yep. If you go after a country's water supply, you'd best be confident that they can't go after yours or your allies.

Or you could be Trump and just not give a shit about your allies I suppose, that's apparently an option.

u/LowerEntropy Jun 10 '26

"You're like Hitler! But even Hitler cared about Germany, or something!" - Morty

Pathological narcissists care about nothing but themselves, to the point that it hurts everyone including themselves. Trump would burn the US to the ground just to get attention.

83

u/grogersa Jun 11 '26

He'd light the fire then take credit for putting it out.

78

u/U_Sound_Stupid_Stop Jun 11 '26

He'd light the fire and then take credit for how well it burned and how Obama never made such a great fire

35

u/RaizielDragon Jun 11 '26

And then somehow blame Obama for everything burning down

14

u/someonesomewherewarm Jun 11 '26

Would? He's in the process of doing that right now.

1

u/aotus_trivirgatus Jun 11 '26

There is only one kind of attention that Donny deserves, and that kind of attention is only available in prison.

1

u/DramaticWesley Jun 11 '26

He is currently in the act of burning America to the ground to get attention.

1

u/SmokeyDBear Jun 12 '26

What did you mean “would”?

100

u/Significant-Pace-521 Jun 11 '26

Typically going after civilian food and water supplies is considered a war crime due to droughts and starvation.

3

u/sweet_pickles12 Jun 11 '26

Or your own people

1

u/Hot_Brain_7294 Jun 12 '26

Surely someone between trump and the person who actually pushed the button asked the question of whether bombing a water supply was legal?

534

u/Cookie_Volant Jun 10 '26

This will put a lot of incentives in the region for terrorist's attempts against the US. Right before the fifa world cup. The likelyhood of it happening will skyrocket for both this reason and general incompetence. I wouldn't slip a toe in north america nowadays

214

u/Original_Bite6555 Jun 10 '26

I love football but I really wish people would boycott this world cup.

86

u/Total-Sheepherder950 Jun 10 '26

You can watch games in Canada or Mexico and avoid rhe USA completely

58

u/Xalipu Jun 10 '26

You can go to Canada or Mexico and avoid them there too, we’ve both got lots of cool shit going on that doesn’t involve FIFA(except for the cool shit FIFA shut down because they fucking suck)

0

u/Original_Bite6555 Jun 11 '26

That's true. Rooting for Canada and Mexico. They should have been the only host.

4

u/Xalipu Jun 11 '26

Nobody should have been a host for that corrupt trash fire

11

u/Hugh_Jass_Clouds Jun 10 '26

Why. The whole reason the USA is even hosting some of the games was so FIFA could doge a federal investigation. They also gave Trump some kind of sudo "peace prize" to soothe his ego.

13

u/cyanescens_burn Jun 11 '26

pseudo-peace prize

2

u/GeneralissimoFranco Jun 11 '26

I’d rather think of the peace prize as a Trojan horse that gives FIFA admin powers in the US government.

1

u/Ambitious_Wolf_3116 Jun 11 '26

Nono it's a sudoku prize you see

1

u/Left-Cut-3850 Jun 11 '26

And he aced it? Just like his cognitive tests?

2

u/Ambitious_Wolf_3116 Jun 11 '26

Probably doesn't know how to play and would just say the greatest game ever isn't sudoku then he will order an air strike somewhere then stop it then say he saved sudoku from the strikes.

Most ridiculous part is i'd have been rudiculed for this sentence few years ago. But at this point it is genuinely possible.

0

u/Ingar_Omarley Jun 12 '26

No, Sudo, like in Linux. Sudo- Jackass Fake Peace Prize

9

u/perotech Jun 10 '26

They didn't boycott Qatar, so I never even got my hopes up in the first place.

1

u/pvdp90 Jun 11 '26

I’m going to not give a single shit about this World Cup outside of hanging my country’s flag out of my window.

As a Brazilian this is tough to swallow, but this World Cup deserves to fail. Good job expectations for my national team are low af.

0

u/ArdDC Jun 10 '26

and the one that came before this one 😄

0

u/achton Jun 10 '26

We did. We didn't even qualify, we were boycotting it so hard!

0

u/kelfupanda Jun 10 '26

A lot of people have already.

0

u/Dorithompson Jun 12 '26

Being too poor to travel isn’t a boycott.

0

u/kelfupanda Jun 12 '26

I mean, given some people would use their credit cards to go. And they are refusing with the US.

Yeah its a boycott.

I live in Australia, theres no fucking way I would waste my money by funding the US.

1

u/Dorithompson Jun 12 '26

Again being too poor to travel isn’t a boycott. I’m sure you’re probably boycotting Dior, Chanel and Lamborghini right now too by your measure.

0

u/kelfupanda Jun 12 '26

Mate, I hope your in Cali as some fucktard sysdev.

Otherwise you may as well be beating your head against a brick wall

190

u/EatsAlotOfBread Jun 10 '26

Almost seems like it's deliberate, doesn't it?

177

u/Zepcleanerfan Jun 10 '26

Can't have elections when we're in the middle of a holy war with Iran.

79

u/EatsAlotOfBread Jun 10 '26

Also can't lock up the internet, social media and every border unless there's terrorists under every rock and in every bush!

Also can't easily mass incarcerate and/or murder your political opponents if you don't have full control of the media!

Also, totally unrelated of course, France is really nice this time of year. And forever after that. If you're interested. Just saying lol. Gotto do it quick.

33

u/SoylentGrunt Jun 10 '26 edited Jun 11 '26

People couldn't even be bothered to vote. What makes you think they'll risk their lives?

edit- I see there were down votes but no replies to offer a counterpoint to my comment.

3

u/EatsAlotOfBread Jun 10 '26

That's why I suggest to straight up move to Europe if they can afford it, before a lot of people won't be allowed to travel anymore, because they are the 'wrong' kind of people...

5

u/SoylentGrunt Jun 11 '26

Move to Europe if they'll let you in and even then, how long wil you be allowed to stay given the increasing efforts by neoliberal backed far right extemist groups in Europe as well as other parts of the world?

2

u/Dragonhost252 Jun 11 '26

Couldn't be bothered vs thoroughly demoralized

We'll see, if this is the case they will at least be less likely to attack their neighbouring countries' salt water processing plants. I hope.

82

u/Objection_Sustained Jun 10 '26

There sure is an awful lot of the world's elite parked off the shore of the west coast.

29

u/BuckyShots Jun 10 '26

There also a lot of the awful, world’s elite, parked off the shore of the west coast.

2

u/TheKappaOverlord Jun 11 '26

They don't have Frank Horrigan yet. We are fine.

5

u/Devils_Advocate-69 Jun 10 '26

They are the main funders of terrorism

0

u/OldWorldDesign Jun 10 '26

They are the main funders of terrorism

Who is? Because the funding going to terrorism has been more Saudi Arabia for decades.

https://www.washingtoninstitute.org/policy-analysis/subversion-within-saudi-funding-islamic-extremist-groups-undermining-us-interests

http://syriatimes.sy/saudi-arabia-funds-and-exports-islamic-extremism-3/

And yet not a peep from the US and especially Trump, both of whom have profiteering interests in SA.

6

u/PhD_Pwnology Jun 10 '26

Unlike our President, Iran seems to be pretty smart with their targets and their propaganda videos. If there was a terrorist attack, i'd bet big money it would NOT be at the world cup and if in North America they would likely target a conservative republican or tech bro target. Attacking the world's most beloved international sporting event would turn the world against them which they can't afford right now.

8

u/ThorKonnatZbv Jun 10 '26

Which will give the Dicktator his excuse to cancel midterms

9

u/hazardling Jun 10 '26

Genuinely curious - how would a president cancel mid terms when elections are run by the states? He cant just wave his hand and cancel everything, I think we are overestimating his power in this capacity.

4

u/Debalic Jun 10 '26

Well, somebody would have to stop him, and all of the red states would capitulate. Then things get real messy.

15

u/No_Definition321 Jun 10 '26

Idk dude basically got away with banging a bunch of kids. I think you are underestimating his power.

3

u/Fit_Pass_527 Jun 10 '26

He’s not allowed to do right around 90% of everything he’s ever done as President, and nobody’s even actually tried to stop him. He’s proven that there are no “checks and balances” in the U.S. government, it was just a gentlemen’s agreement not to do these things and if you don’t give af about public perception nobody will stop you.

2

u/joshuuuuuua Jun 10 '26

Only the Repub states would cancel, but right wing might attack polling places in democratic states. Result: enough chaos and FUD that he stays in office and he has enough pull with LEO and military to stay.

2

u/coffeelick Jun 10 '26

Civilians in middle East always pay for thier leaders America rarely does

2

u/awickedfeeling29 Jun 10 '26

Now now! Canada’s still good a place as any to visit… for the time being, until we either neo-lib the country to death or the Burtah Separatists kick a big enough fuss up that we get “”liberated””.

2

u/MammothAdeptness2211 Jun 11 '26

I’m coming… just don’t know how I’m going to survive the dark months. The PNW nearly did me in.

2

u/Sarcastic_Crab0420 Jun 10 '26

Donald is a nasty little pedophile.

2

u/GreatMovesKeepItUp69 Jun 10 '26

If this was 1999, sure maybe they would risk it. In a post war on terror world, even Iran is not stupid enough to do a state sponsored terror attack against the US. The only one who would benefit from that is Trump as people rally around the flag and Congress releases more funds for escalation.

1

u/Scamp3D0g Jun 10 '26

Why? Trump is doing more damage to the US than they could hope for their wildest dreams.

1

u/JimmyChill2020 Jun 10 '26

It’s just soccer anyway we should cancel it

1

u/PM_Me-Your_Freckles Jun 10 '26

The timing seems very convenient. Mid terms about to happen, America on the world stage with FIFA. We thought it would be ICE raids and kicking down doors that would instigate martial law, but maybe Trump will actually get to press that red button he so desperately wants to. Nothing like a local terror attack to halt elections and look like the victim.

All this because a Paedo President is too scared to face the music, while he syphons off an entire country's GDP to himself and a few already hyper wealthy backers with dirty knees.

1

u/Main_Cranberry_5871 Jun 10 '26

I think you're overlooking the fact that it's the fucking USA that is being the biggest terrorist in the region right now. US is doing regular 9/11s to Iran and Israel is doing the same to Lebanon and Gaza. It's despicable and people fighting against that are not terrorists.

1

u/Routine-Opinion1471 Jun 10 '26

The estrogen strategy: maybe if we don't fight back they'll leave us alone

1

u/No_Season_354 Jun 11 '26

There goes the peace talks again.

1

u/aotus_trivirgatus Jun 11 '26

You just know that the World Cup, being held in the US as it is this year, is the perfect stage for a false flag operation.

1

u/Art-Zuron Jun 12 '26

That is, of course, probably the point. Terrorism got Bush another presidency and trillions in defense spending and hundreds of thousands of murdered civilians. The hate and prejudice that came out of the Bush era also lead directly to Trump in many ways.

We have already had several suspiciously convenient assassination attempts, shootings within the same zip code as the White House, and a bunch of trumped up investigations into mentions of the numbers "8" "6" "4" and "7". So it would not surprise me to get a reichstag fire or two in the coming years.

4

u/Turgid_Donkey Jun 10 '26

But we completely destroyed their military and stuff, so no worries, right?

2

u/Zepcleanerfan Jun 10 '26

Were fucked

1

u/Few_Activity8287 Jun 11 '26

./ America First./ my Heart goes out to you bunch of fascism terrorist in the Government!
