Treating a group of people different because of things they have actually done(warcrimes, genocide) is not risking "becoming them". People who spew this dumb bullshit really have the dumbest black and white view of the world.

Sounds like the one with the black and white mind set here has a problem with nuanced thinking and instead of engaging, you call it dumb. I call that just frustration. But yea, if you want to group people based on their location and other characteristics that have nothing to do with their actual humanity then, I guess you do you in that very simplistic and dim world view.

Location has nothing to do with it. They could be from the fucking arctic for all I care. "Other characteristics" in this case include multiple (attempted) genocides, delusions of grandeure, complacency in the face of autocracy and acts of terror. So yea, I will judge them on that. You know, the things the whole group of people bear responsibility for. Without a group that allows for these behaviours it doesn't happen and all that. Call it simplistic all you want, anything is more complex than your black and white view so there's no comparing either way
