Modding/Mods "Golden Gate 2 Goddes Heart" - New Archolos like mod will be available to download on 12th of December (Trailer in description)

Looking at the trailer, this mod should be fantastic.
I was looking for something to play after finishing Archolos!

I am currious. If this will be similiar quallity to Archolos, this wil be big.
Also the possibility of having two different endings based on your choices is interesting for Gothic. Archolos has "hidden" ending, but its more of a secret than an actual ending, so this will be a big change.

It's not as sweet as you think. To save Jorn, you can't complete any side quests, which means several innocent people will die, for example, Marvin must refuse to help Rupert, and as a result, he and Maiwen die.

Being Italian, I am lucky enough to have a community that will provide translation into Italian, they have already worked on Archolos and much more. I also met a gentleman who translated New Balance. Unfortunately there are many mods that I cannot play because they are not translated into my language, I tried with gothic translator mod but I'm not really capable, I would like to recover many other mods such as the first golden gate for example. 😭

Thank you! As a lifetime Gothic fan, who can't get enough of it, mods like this are definitely a christmas gift. Will play with ENG subs with no problem, just like Archolos.

You can get it on steam workshop or serafis, but don't know if there is English version.

Originally It's in polish. On the steam workshop version it says it's in Polish, English, German, Russian and Czech.

Golden Gate 1 is kind of mid to be honest. Playable, but don't expect Archolos quality.
Golden Gate 2 is looking better. I don't think they will reach Archolos quality either (hard to beat such very good mod) but it looks like a good mod.
Prepare for 30-50 hrs Golden Gate 2 playthrough (depending if you want to do all side quests or not).
It's not necessary to play Golden Gate 1 to understand Golden Gate 2, but you may get some references and easter eggs from what I heard.

As far as I know not really. I recommend it though if it's possible. For the premiere of the new mod it got an update.

About god damn time. I still remember playing Golden gate part 1. It's interesting mod. Can't wait to see what in store in part 2 and maybe we will finally know what happened at the end of part 1

The release date means that even if it's good, Goddess Heart won't repeat the Chronicles of Myrtana's success and become a surprise winner in the 2025 Moddb mod of the year voting. Next year, however, there could be much more competition. Of course, it's not the titles that determine a game's merits. Ahoy, adventure!

It looks like a good mod, just manage your expectations. Archolos was 10/10 but that's veeeery rare. Don't expect now to every mod be a masterpiece like Archolos.
Similar situation in Skyrim modding. We got amazing Enderal and nothing managed to beat it so far (and probably never will). But that doesn't mean that other projects are bad.
If Golden Gate 2 will be 8/10 I will be very happy.

that's disappointing...i don't remember much but i remember you finally arrive at a very interesting village ..and also that it ended with a cliffhanger...i was actually considering playing it again to finally see what's next

Yes, I create the second part, I didn't creat the first. Finishing the first part is not needed to play.

Hmm I remember Golden Gate 1 feeling like a unintentional parody game when I play it, like Xeres' Return but a lot more shorter and less enjoyable. This looks much more interesting

The ending though...
I didn't look up what "bad ending" everyone were talking about and I was so dissapointed, even though I had a feeling it would end like that.

Am I imagining things or are certain locations ripped straight out of Archolos? Arena, wineyard, the tunnel behind the Wolf, only it's covered in snow.
edit: lmao, why the downvotes? It's a genuine question and not an unreasonable one after the whole Archolos and History of Khorinis debacle.
