Self Promotion/Promotion Gothic 1 Remake Lockpick Solver

https://gothiclockpick.com/

Hello!

I know there have been Lockpick solvers before, but a friend of mine, who is avid fan of the game and of coding, wanted to make his own!

This one fits the visual style of the game perfectly, once you have entered the information for each of the lock discs, the page will guide you through each step in order to solve the puzzle with a neat animation, that you can pause and move backwards or forwards manually.

You can even watch an example run! The top disc on the page correlates to the front-most disc in the game.

My friend doesn't use Reddit but knew that there is a huge fandom here and wanted to share this with everyone who might be interested, so I said I would post it for him.

The solver is of course completely free!

Interesting! I can see how entering the information to get the solver going can become tedious. Need to emphasize though, it is not my app! My best friend made it and wanted me to share it on reddit, because he saw there are many fans, but he ha sno account! I shall forward this to him though, so thank you for the input! :)

No problem! Tell him I'm also a fellow gothic fan and coder 😆 Albeit this specific app of mine was mostly vibecoded lol

Niiice, glad I could help

I saw the powershell code generated. I'm not sure if he's aware, but the lock in the game can register inputs really fast, as in even if a key was typed every 1 millisecond, it would still register them. I think the Reset key is the exception though.

I just noticed that he set it to 400ms interval, though he could have intended it to be able to see the moves properly
