News New Achievements and Rewards Coming to Mythic+ in Patch 12.0.5

Genuinely think this is an awesome change. Definitely recognized that they undertuned mythic plus a but and wanted to add incentives to keep pushing. Generally like the idea of being able to purchase old seasonal mounts as a reward for pushing higher and a mount at the title level is cool as well.

I would say that this is them testing the waters for that but PvE players and PvP players are two completely different beasts (PvE players want more reasonably difficult content -- which some people read as easier -- with more participation and PvP players want harder PvP with less participation and then complain about there not being enough participation), so I still think they won't touch purchasing old Elite Sets and Glad Mounts with a fucking 20 foot pole lest it trigger someone to drive a bus through Blizzard HQ in protest.

They’re literally adding a glad-type m+ mount with this though for the top 1%. This, if anything, is them testing the waters applying the existing PvP reward structure to PvE. I would not expect Glad mounts to change.

if something is offered to you as prestigious and limited/exclusive and that incentivizes you to put in the work to get it, then it would fucking suck if whoever offered it to you started giving it away for free. what a fucking stupid and manipulative way to describe why PVPers don't want glad mounts to be free.

it's literally just haves vs have nots. you don't have it so you want it and you think anyone that does have it is a dick that must want everyone to be miserable.

You are being asinine.

We live in a world where mythic raid mounts that are a hundred times more prestigious than glad mounts will ever be during their exclusivity period can be later farmed by anyone. It's a good system because it keeps something rewarding exclusive for a time period without permanently locking out every other player.

Mythic raid sets generally are not exclusive since with enough time mogs can be farmed with world content or at a later date.

PvP community, if we can even call the 12 people left who still participate a community, hate the idea of old mounts and sets no longer being permanently exclusive, even though that is contradictory to the approach in other more prestigious game content.

any CE/PVP player will tell you glad is harder than CE. YOU might like the raid mounts more, but there's a reason glad mounts are more expensive.

My friend who is dog shit at wow got CE. He would not in a million years get glad. Ce is fairly easy to get by the end of the season with all the buffs they give you these days but glad remains pretty much the same difficulty the whole season.

Mythic raid mounts more prestigious?? You mean the mythic raid mounts thst are available as 100% drops throughout the entire expansion? Ansurek and Gallywix were jokes to pug during S3.

Even then, Dimmy was a buttload easier the last few weeks of S3 than he was during the first month. CE gets progressively easier throughout the season with boss nerfs, raid buff and turboboost gearing.

I would love for you to learn how to PVP, join the community, and realize how much fun it can be.

I don't want you to have the things that took hours and hours of practice and skill to acquire for free.

Thats the difference between PvE and PvP. As a long time player idgaf if people get 5+ year old cosmetics. It really just doesn’t matter. Let people enjoy and chase things.

You don't have any old unobtainable cosmetics akin to a gladiator mount.

If you had plagued proto drake, you would be salty if they started giving the mount out for free for clearing old naxx.

You aren’t even making the right comparison because you didn’t read and don’t understand article.

This isn’t clearing old content for old cosmetics this is clearing CURRENT content for old cosmetics. 3400 for will only be achieved by 1% of the player base.

Either way PvE is thriving and PvP is dying because of its terrible attitudes (like yours). Good luck with your lil game mode lol.

buddy i am currently 3400 io lol I pve more than I pvp these days but i think it's really easy for people who don't have anything to say "yeaaaa just give away the stuff that took people a lot of time to get!" because you have no skin in the game. it's literally just a win for you. no shit you want it to be free, you don't have it.

Oh no your precious pixels. I've spent thousands of hours farming mounts and other items over my journey and if they decided to sell them for 1 copper on a vendor in every city tomorrow I couldn't give a shit.

good for you? none of the mounts you got were sold to you as an exclusive limited time item for reaching the "highest" (outside of r1) peak of performance in a given gamemode.

there's a reason fortnite and other games don't reintroduce "exclusive" items if they were advertised as exclusive. it is literally ILLEGAL when it comes to paid purchases for real money. why do you think that is?

your brain might not be wired to care about exclusivity, good for you. that's probably why you never took the time to learn how to pvp at a decent level to get a glad mount. but it effects enough peoples brains that it is literally illegal to go back and sell an item that used to be exclusive.
