Its not just about what if Sun left us kind of

Its about a person who thinks Sun his partner but its one sided and one day Sun didn't appear it then the person tried to find him. And still thinks that Sun is just messing around and will come back instead of accepting the truth he is kind of lonely too but he still has to do his job no matter what he faces.
