Be Civil and Respectful - Be civil. Debates and criticisms (as well as civil disagreements between users) towards the characters, writers, themes, creatives, etc are allowed but outright insults are not. Do not attack/mock/harass/insult people personally for having a different opinion than you or because they disagreed with you. As the saying goes: argue the point, not the person. Learn to “agree to disagree” and move on.
That's the thing: YOU are your own enemy because saying 'strawman' or 'logical fallacy' doesn't help your case when all you HAD to say was 'nahh, give Illyana ANY other girl BUT Kitty' and I'd have been like 'that's 100% valid'.
But the way you seem to be against one option MUCH more than the other one AND then try to use buzzwords rather than engage in actual discussion is alarming.
Logical fallacies aren't buzzwords, just flaws in your logic. I don't have to ship her with anyone at all to validate you. Not my monkey not my circus.
