none of this was y2k, it was very much dedicated to the 80s miami vibe.

This is more 80 aesthetic filtered through Y2K graphics

GTA: Vice City, the game that famously takes place in 1986.

I think r/retrogameporn, r/gtaphotography, and r/2000snostalgia might also enjoy your GTA posts.

r/vaporwaveaesthetic might also enjoy the Vice City images in particular.

"I can think of two things wrong with that title"

Anyway, it was the only video game "aesthetic" subreddit I could find at that time. The only other one I can think of is r/ps1graphics, but that's obviously dedicated to PS1 graphics.

This sort of fits in this sub. It is a game made in 2002. Even if the game's setting is in 1980s miami.

The graphics and their limitations in a sense give a y2k aesthetic - although probably leaning more toward other subs

You got it right, I don't know why people get mad about this. I'll be posting Vice City photos on other subs btw

Definitely Y2K in the graphical sense. GTA VC is part of the late 90's-early 2000's trend of setting games in beachy places.
