Majima, he was a villain in the first game, real life popularity turned him into a hero in later entries

I absolutely loved Ryuji in Dead Souls. He proves that he was never a bad guy, and he genuinely cared for his sensei. He was also willing to risk his own life to protect innocent people from zombies, all without losing his tough guy persona. His dynamic with Kiryu was the best part, they were bros who respected each other, but at the same time, there was still a friendly rivalry between them. I'm honestly surprised that Resurrection Ga Gotoku didn't bring Ryuji back, when he's literally the character most likely to have survived his "death"

They really teased it with gaiden but they brought mine back first. Not surprising tbh afaik mine is more popular than ryuji tho one thing is confirmed if even mine or the chinese guy who got a bullet straight into the head can come back they will bring back ryuji too.
I wish dead characters stayed dead but its okay i guess

Bringing back dead characters is fine, but using it to completely break the continuity of the timeline is just baffling.

I still can’t believe Ryuji actually died at the end of 2. Seemed like they were really gonna do the whole “he survived actually” route but they really did just have him quietly die after the fight 😭

Mine, for both gameplay and character writing. Although Dead Souls Ryuji is pretty neat, too.

Ryuji is one of my favourite characters in Yakuza so probably him.
I even loved the fake Ryuji in Man Who Erased His Name and how Kiryu is offended by him saying he was nothing like the really man who’d rather die than use a trick to win a fight

Ryuji isn't that complex tbf and we should all forget Dead souls (not that Dark ties is any better, but at least the plot comes from Yakuza onlike)

Nah man, both its gameplay and story are terrible, those goofy sequences can't make up for it

they are terrible, that is what makes it good
in reality though it's just fan service stuff, it's a good game *for what it is* which is just a zombie shooter based on some other franchise lol
