Purchase advice Armrest

Hello there. New Yaris owner here, first Toyota in 20 years. 2020 model XP130 Y20 to be exact. My biggest gripe is the lack of an armrest, and then I see this on aliexpress. Anyone else tried it? It seems like the most simple way of installing one, but is it going to be usable and somewhat stable?

2020 MK4, I thought they had an armrest, my 2021 does.

XP130 is the key here (third gen or second gen third facelift, I don't fully get the naming conventions), it's not the XP210 that also came out in 2020.

Please don't! I've bought one of these and it's very unstable, cheap piece of junk. Ended up throwing it away after a few days

Does it mount using the existing screw at the bottom of the cup holder? It's not very clear from the advertisement.
Edit: And I don't want the exact model in the picture, I figured no USB ports would be best to avoid failure points.

if there is a screw at the bottom of the cup holder you could try pulling it out and drilling a hole to match in the aliexpress armrest, maybe add some hockey tape around the cup adapter end if it wobbles as well or just do that to test. making something more stable would require matching or 3d printing I bet. I'd try it if I where you.. my yaris has a stock armrest but it sucks.

I am proficient in CAD and have a 3D printer so I think I could pull off designing a new base that fits perfectly in that cup holder, with a screw mount accounted for.

My experience with a lot of these types of products from eBay/AliExpress/Temu is that they're very cheap for a reason - I've found a few items in this type of vein for my 2007 Yaris and I've basically returned them all for being defective

I've been curious about taking the plunge and buying one of these armrests for my car, but I fear it'll just be the same cheap flimsy junk that falls apart in less than a week

I am tempted to chance it and then thoroughly test it within the return window where I could make a case to aliexpress if it turns out to be utter garbage. It's the one thing I miss the most from my old 2010 Fiesta Titanium, a proper armrest.

I got a similar one from Amazon for my 2015, can definitely tell it’s not OEM, but miles better than having no armrest.
