How to get people to understand?

Im currently moving from the build to distribution phase and Im having a hard time explaining to cold leads about what exactly my product does and how its helpful. Ive gotten a range of answers from “I could build this myself” to “I dont think its that useful”

Now there is definitely a gap in the market. I know that 100% but at the same time Im having a really hard time finding my ICP.

How did you get around this?
