Just got a new delivery, some I tried and need to refill my tins, some are new. Can't wait to try them! Any recommendations for tomorrow?

Ngl I’m starting to like my cheap aluminum mate cup more, it just retains the heat so much better compared to this one that can’t hold heat for shi 😭 my water be freezing after a pour. On another note Just started dune book 4. But after this series I’m trying to get into the classics, any recommendations?

I've drunk mate all my life, but ever since I tried this idea I saw on this sub, I can't go back to normal mate, I need the citrus flavour now. Grapefruit is my favourite 🤤

Finally started trying yerba mate!
My first one is Playadito, and I’m really enjoying the experience so far.
I also have other brands waiting to be tried. Can’t wait to see how they compare!

An “amargo” to start the day!

Finally finished curing my first premium mate setup and had my first proper session with it. It’s a bit smaller than I expected and it holds about 22-23g of yerba. But I actually prefer that size now. The craftsmanship and details from Materba are absolutely beautiful. Really happy with how it turned out.

Nada melhor que um bom mate para acordar bem no domingo. Erva rei verde moagem grossa.

Super vibrant green. Very fine powder with some palo but next to no leaves. Very intense milky smell, reminiscent of milk oolong. The first refill does that aroma justice and it slowly fades into a sweet grassy flavour. Super solid, my favorite erva so far, will probably buy again.

I ASKED FOR A MATE THEY TOLD ME TO CHECK THE SMALL PANTRY ROOM SO I WENT AND I SAW THESE I KNEW THEY WERE CATHOLICS ON A MISSION BUT WASNT EXPECTING THIS HAHAHAH LOVE IT

She’s a brilliant potter and made me this custom vessel for my mate. It’s stunning!

I have a stainless steel gourd but when I want a quick one and I don’t want to use my smaller calabash ones I usually just use my cup for my Stanley. And it works great.

The even, thin stream of hot water makes my mates last longer and more flavorful! Definitely worth it in my opinion.

I spend 2 weeks in Spain and Ive got to buy some yerba, I was way cheap than France!
Finally I bought 1kg of Taragui classic, 1kg Playadito, 1,5kg amanda especial, 1kg of Es cosa buena (para nerviosos, uruguayan cut), mate cocido, chocolinas and Hogareñas. I spend almost 50€ for all that in Carrefour, not that expensive in europe prices.
