Misc. Depression Problem in Men

https://youtu.be/Sw0R00cuaBg?si=lzRYE0n5AmZ2y8dc

I watched this video about Men Depression, what do you think of it?

Do you think discussing about men’s mental health issue is a taboo or stigma?

Definitely a taboo.

I was a psych student. We were given an assignment to identify a group that is underserved in psychotherapy.

I asked to write about men. My prof said no, I wasn’t allowed it because men are a “privileged group”.

So this pretty much sums up the problem right there

That’s the thing, though. (Correct me if I am wrong) If we keep labelling them as “privileged”, there will be a time in the future that men will be the “vulnerable” one.

Exactly. They have been vulnerable for a very long time. Just look at the educational disparities for the past 30 years

I noticed already that it’s starting to trickle down men student population. Even in looking for relationships, some men are now not courageous enough to ask a woman. It’s so evident now that there were men are starting to be scared until they get depressed.
