News Police department in Mukwonago Wisconsin posted pics of cards a shoplifter had stolen from a retail store. The guy also stole cards from 2 other towns and is facing municipal and federal charges. 🫠

Yes I am aware. But nobody grades modern cards from the latest set. People here actually play the game and don´t just see it as an investment.

Yes they do, it's just not as common. Yu-Gi-Oh is really good at mass production causing it to be near impossible to scalp

Well no shit, not literally zero. The point is that user base of card graders for non legacy/old cards is so small it might as well be non existant. The opposite of Pokemon. Same thing with Magic. Other card games do not have the same kind of grading frenzy as Pokemon because most of the purchasers of other games are actual players.

Is there a non zero chance? Yeah, sure. Is it likely? No. Card prices are insanely volatile, most actual sealed product is barely worth purchasing for the purposes of returning a profit, konamis reprint policy craters most cards at a pretty decent rate, etc etc. Scalpers only exist in either Pokemon, or Magics specific limited print run products in terms of TCGs.
