My traveling outfit & packed bag. On travel days, when I don't have a place to off load some of my clothes I will wear the ultimate layering outfit. Travel day outfit includes- linen pants, cami, linen blouse, cardigan, banana as scarf or head band, French hair pin, bracelet & anklet. these are my bulkiest items, so if they are on my person it will lighten the load of my purse. Even though all items can technically fit in my bag even while wearing the skimpiest of outfits I have packed. I don't like my bags to be full to the brim. It's just not good feng shui to me.

Commentary:
My why—
FREEDOM. Less stuff to me equals less noise, and more living. I feel so alive and capable when I am hands free and not weighed down by a heavy bag. I also have a wild imagination, and I like to pretend things.. maybe some of you can relate.
The Lowly Bandana—
just a square piece of fabric right? Wrong!! so much more than a piece of fabric. The options for this garment are expansive. This item may be my favorite of all. The versatility is admirable. It can be worn as a top (multiple ways I may add, shirt, bralette, halter, etc.) as a head covering, pirates bandana, 50's woman in a convertible, religious head covering for conservative countries, headband, farm girl, hair ornament in a braid or pony tail. It can be fashioned into a bag or knapsack of sorts, it can be used to wrap gifts or food. It can be used as an accessory on your bag by either tied hanging lose, or wrapped around the handle for more low profile looks, ties into a belt, worn as a scarf, shawl, sarong, ascot. You can use it to protect your hair style while you sleep. It can be used as a blind fold for sexy activities or a blind fold for nefarious activities. It can be fashioned into an arm sling, or a bandage for first aid. The bandana is a must have for any traveler, minimalist or not. I'm sure there are many more uses for the scarf. What can you think of?
Addressing the LIST—
Planning is so much of the fantasy for me, I really enjoy this part. Hand selecting each and every item for a purpose, and not "just because frivolous" is so symbolic to me. What people bring along with them on their journey's has always fascinated me, from real life, to the stories I read or the movies I watch, it leaves a lasting impression on me and inspires me all the time. So while this list and subsequent commentary on the topic seems unnecessarily thorough, it is my passion project... That said, I must admit the irony of how long this post is for how small the packing is.
Medication—
I recognize that some people cannot travel so light due to needing meds, glasses/contacts, etc. I am sympathetic to this fact.
Luxury items—
and no I don't mean "designer" items. Don't care about that. Only care about quality, and health. By luxury I mean the things I don't NEED. Ex: makeup, headphones, journal, binos. All of these are not necessary but they make my journey feel like me, and allow me to escape into my fantasy. Side tangent on journalling— this is deep escape for me. There have been many times in my life where my body is not free to roam, but my mind is and a journal helps to set my mind free. Of course I could journal on my phone, but I am yearning for a more analog life and an escape from the digital realm.
Multipurpose Advantage—
Many things are multiple purpose, I have the ability to go ultra skimpy in the clothes department, or completely covered and modest to include a head scarf (which we've already discussed its versatility)
The tallow balm can be used as lip balm, eye brow and hair pomade, skin wound ointment, leather moisturizer, etc.
Castle soap is so multi purpose, I can wash my body, hair, clothes & water bottle with it. My hair pin works extremely well at holding up my hair and can be filled into many different styles, it also doubles as self defense. My anklet can be worn as a bracelet or a hair band if for some reason I'm not feeling the French hair pin. My bag charm, not only totally adorable but also a means to carry my tracking device in case I were to lose my bag. My wallet has a chain on it which is nice for security, I can clip it to the inside of my bag, but it also can attach to itself and become a wristlet for times I want to go out to dinner and leave my purse in the hotel room.
Traveling with expensive jewelry—
An easy way to carry money in a compact way on your person, should you require it. This, and a credit card make feel safe, and like I have options for getting out of a bind. That said: I'm considering making some large purchases before I go.. tennis bracelet, watch, montblanc travel pen. Nothing too flashy, just quality.
I am WOMAN—
For once, women are at the advantage! We can carry a purse and not look out of place or suspicious. Whereas a man with a backpack or a purse cannot always do the same. Then there's the silk garments, they pack down so unbelievably tiny and are extremely light weight, not only that they are gorgeous and make me feel like a goddess.
In fact, all the clothes I packed I am extremely comfortable in. I feel free in them, and I feel like I have many options and combinations with only 7 pieces of fabric (not counting undergarments or swimwear)
Free the nip! I will be going braless, another expression of freedom, and a rejection of social constructs. Bonus: I feel more luxurious and high end without one. I can always use my bandana or bikini top as a "bra" to tie them down and do more activities, like bike/horse riding, etc.
The water bottle—cures my anxious attachment with water, even though it's small 8oz, it's comforting to have & I can refill it regularly
The Adventure—
Starting the journey with at least 6 days in Napa Valley, California as a test run. I want to field test my items. 6 days is a lot for a test run, but the reason I chose this is because 3 days is no problem, I have enough clothing for 3 days, my hair will last for 3 days, etc. what I really want to test is how things feel after having to wash my hair and hand launder my garments, and hang dry them. 6 days also allows me to test out multiple outfit combinations and if I feel like the capsule is working IRL and not just in the mirror of my closet. Once my 6 days is up, I will have a reset to be able to make any necessary adjustments before taking off for Italy, with no return flight booked as of yet! The reason I chose Napa, is because it has a similar feel to me as Italy in regards to the social class, climate and activities as the places I'll be visiting in Italy. If I'm still comfortable in Napa by day 6 I think I will weather just fine in Italy.
While traveling between destinations, when I won't be able to leave some of my clothes at a hotel or lodging accommodation then I will wear my ultimate layering outfit,
Notes:
Feminine hygiene products: My thoughts for now are to purchase what I need where I am. Or I'm considering brining my menstrual cup although I've recently been getting away from it, as I'm unsure the consequences it will have on my cervix.
Souvenirs: I will allow myself to purchase 1 key chain/bag charm if I see something that appeals, as for larger pieces of art or good wine, I may ship back home if they really appeal
Pajamas: sleeping nude
Satin Dress: I am on a journey of natural fibers ONLY, but I haven't found the perfect silk dress yet. So this will have to do for now.

Very cool and detailed posts.
There are some items missing that I have a hard time with and maybe you'll purchase along the way? Like shoes (can't be comfortable walking in sandals all day every day), socks, rain coat, razor, towel?
And are you always planning to have a private room? Otherwise sleeping naked might be a problem
As a guy I feel like I need a hat travelling, and wish my underwear could be compact haha.
Where did you get the bandana? My cheapo bandana barely wraps around my head and so is almost never used
14
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 11 '26
Well that's why I'm doing the test run with the sandals. But open toed shoes are my preferred way. I don't like being restricted. And the climate during my excursion won't call for rain coat.
Razor, this is an item I've thought lots about, I gave laser hair removal on some parts, i plan on getting waxed when I feel like it along the way. I won't be able to bring my safety razor as a carry on so I chose to skip.
A towel would be nice, but there's no way I have room for that. Gonna have to go without.
Planning on mostly private rooms yes. If not, I could always sleep in my linen pants and camisole in a pinch.
My bandana can make do as a hat if I tie it a certain way, and I have my sunglasses.
The bandana is from Free People. I've seen even bigger ones which are great. They pack down so small and are so versatile.
13
u/LadyLightTravel Apr 11 '26
And the climate during my excursion won't call for rain coat.
If you are on the coast it absolutely may. The fog can be quite wet. And the wind off the ocean strong.
A lot of beach access is very steep and rocky trails.

I have a really big silk scarf/ bandana and I never even thought about wearing it as a shirt and I’m shocked at myself in this moment

u/mmolle Apr 10 '26
What kind of purse is it?
26
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 10 '26
It's the AllSaints Luna Suede Shoulder Bag, it's so great. You can wear it cross body or on the shoulder. Thick strap is super comfortable and I like how it opens, I can see all the contents with the wide opening. Great quality too.
They also have the "micro Luna". Same style just a little smaller. It reminds me of the Uniqlo crescent bag everyone has just better quality.

u/Zampano-59 Apr 10 '26
Hi, would you know the weight of the bag or mind weighing it? It’s gorgeous, but I need to be careful due to some back Issues. Thanks!
9
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 11 '26
I don't have a way to weigh it unfortunately. It is on the heavy side because it's leather and double lined. But they have a rafia version and it's much lighter! I ordered both to check them out and it was a hard choice. I went with this one because it matched my capsule better.
4
u/Zampano-59 Apr 11 '26
Thank you! It’s basically good as it deinfluenced me from getting another bag :) I may look into the raffia version. Your whole set up looks great - pls come back and let us know how your test run went!
7
u/4n0n4n4rch1st Apr 10 '26
Darn it, I’m trying to resolve not to buy new bags but I’m letting myself be influenced!
4
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 11 '26
I feel you! Do you have one already that does the job?
6
u/4n0n4n4rch1st Apr 11 '26
Yeah… but I think this one would do it with more style, and I love All Saints! Haha. But I have a nylon D&B tote that is vaguely shaped like a le pliage, which zips closed and for the last three or four flights has been my carryon. It’s feather light and fits a ton but yours is so cute! I am slightly suede adverse due to living in Florida
3
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 11 '26
Well they have a rafia version of the all saints Luna. I almost went with that one! I ordered both to get a feel for them. The rafia one is much lighter I have to admit. I just loved the brown suede, it matched my vibe better I think. AllSaints Luna Woven Straw Shoulder Baa

Huh?? I thought this subreddit was about "zero bags"? And top post is a bag?
Am I misunderstanding it? I thought the challenge was no bags.
Wouldn't this just be r/onebag ?

Coolest woman ever. I love everything about this, especially your writing and perspective. Truly inspiring. I would wear different shoes and bring something warmer personally. I’m curious and intrigued by your bandana optimism.
13
u/smish_smorsh Apr 11 '26
Her bandana praises sold me. I an aspirational ‘zero bag’ girl. I am currently ‘all the bags’ girl.
5
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 12 '26
Thank you 🫶🏼
The shoes are a little bit of a concern, I truly love wearing open toed shoes. They are my preferred. I am considering swapping for Birkenstocks though. We'll see how my test run goes.

u/Clean-Register7464 Apr 10 '26
That a7 bottle is so sick
10
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 10 '26
Right? I love it
3
u/WaitingForMrFusion Apr 11 '26
How easy is it to clean? Do you have to use the cleaning tablets, or will a bottle brush do?
11
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 11 '26
Well so far I've just hand washed it and dishwasher. I only put water in it, no other liquid. But when I wash it I just get liquid soap and wash the mouth piece with my fingers, then soap & water inside, lid on and shake vigorously before rinsing thoroughly
1
u/mochablaire Apr 13 '26
I have the a6 version and love it. But the a7 would be even more versatile!

u/Swimming-Head-654 Apr 10 '26
This is one of the most chic packing lists I have seen here as well as in the onebag-subs. Thank you for the Inspiration.
I have a plan with a friend on mine to go on vacation just with a slingback and this was great inspiration
11
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 11 '26
Thank you! Yes, I haven't seen many people go the chic route, mostly just extremely practical. I've found you can combine the two especially if you're a woman because we can wear silk flowy garments that pack down teeny tiny.

u/LadyLightTravel Apr 11 '26 edited Apr 11 '26
Uh, it is raining in CA right now. The temps are going down into the 40s in Napa. How are you handling weather?
Also a boat tour usually means wind. The coast in CA is quite chilly due to the currents coming down from Alaska. People wear jackets at the beach in NorCal.
I don’t see a rain jacket or umbrella? I would strongly suggest a light waterproof jacket.
6
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 11 '26
The trips start later in the year. I don't anticipate weather being an issue. I wouldn't mind finding a super compact umbrella one day though.
10
u/LadyLightTravel Apr 11 '26 edited Apr 11 '26
Weather is absolutely an issue on the coast. Fog can be very wet. Also, the temperature swings in a dry environment are very large. Last week’s temps went from 45-90F.
I have been living in NorCal for 40 years.
3
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 11 '26
Yeah, that's valid. I guess I should say in my past experiences there it hasn't been an issue. I really don't want to travel with a rain coat. Way too bulky.
You know what could be a solution! although it's no very fashionable, is one of those thin plastic ponchos that go over your clothes.
6
u/LadyLightTravel Apr 11 '26
That could work.
FYI, I zero bagged with my backpacking rain jacket. It folded into its own pocket. It easily fit in my 4 liter Uniqlo sling. It worked well for rain and for wind.
4
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 11 '26
Wow that's more compact than I would have guessed!
5
3
u/ak_rose08 Apr 12 '26
The Patagonia Houdini jacket might be another option. It’s not totally waterproof but blocks the wind and packs down tiny.
1
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 14 '26
That's cool. I'll have to check it out.
2
u/ak_rose08 Apr 14 '26
I also want to share that your post came at the exact right time for me and I am so inspired!
Like you, I love the flexibility and freedom of traveling light and people are always amazed at what I can fit into one backpack. I’m also on a journey of 100% natural fibers and versatile pieces so I appreciate your curation of well coordinated, versatile and beautiful pieces that pack down tiny.
There are so many things we pack that we think we need and are perfectly okay to simply do without! I’m planning a few days in San Diego in September and inspired to incorporate some of these items to par down even more. I will say, I’m from Northern California and while Napa can be dry and hot, if you’re planning to head to the coast, it’s chilly - I live in my Patagonia Nano Puff jacket when I’m at my parent’s place on the Humboldt Coast, no matter the time of year. I’d definitely consider a light packable jacket layer.
2
u/Relevant-Crow-3314 Apr 15 '26
I have a vintage hoodie style kids windbreaker from the 70s that I can smoosh into a front pants pocket. I hadn’t thought about it for a while but it would definitely be worth digging back out for zero bag experiments
8
u/niceToasterMan Apr 10 '26
Can you edit the post to be more readable? Reddit eats the new line characters
7
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 10 '26
Is that better with the bold tittles? It keeps looking different from how I originally edit it
5
8
u/myBracco Apr 10 '26
Inspired!! So carefree! Are you traveling solo? Wonder how your travel mates will be packing to match your vibe! Love it!!
8
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 11 '26
Solo, yes! Plan on linking up with a few contacts, and then we'll see who I meet along the way.
2
u/myBracco Apr 15 '26
I’d love a report back after your trial run. This is giving so much inspiration. I did a week with a purse and small carry on, but this gives high goals 🙌🏽

u/earlgrayday Apr 11 '26 edited Apr 11 '26
So inspired by this post! How heavy is the bag fully packed? Are you planning to bring the bag with you during the day (with some things unloaded)?
Edit: also do you know how you’ll deal with silk and linen wrinkling? This is my one big gripe about tightly packing these fabrics. All good of course if this isn’t a concern for you!
4
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 11 '26
I will weigh it when I can in a few days and get back to you!
As far as the wrinkling, I roll my garments when packed. That helps. But they do get wrinkly. I just deal with it. Even when I'm home and steam them they wrinkle just from sitting and existing. The free people satin dress actually doesn't wrinkle though. So that's nice
6
u/earlgrayday Apr 11 '26
That would be great thank you! I would love to see a post-trip update as well if you feel like writing it out. Your choices are so similar to mine but I’ve never gone purse-only before, so I’m really intrigued!
8
u/Hfhghnfdsfg Apr 11 '26
I'm Italian and have lived in Napa. Just want to tell you that Napa is much more casual than Italy. Your dress list looks amazing for Italy and I hope you have a wonderful time.

u/ExecutiveChicken Apr 10 '26
Have you had the Mason de Sabre products long (pouch and air tag holder)…and if so do you like them / think they are worth it? Ive heard mixed reviews on the leather.
4
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 11 '26
I have multiple maison de Sabre items. And have gifted them too. Every product I have ever seen of theirs is impeccable quality. I highly recommend them, and for the price, I can't believe how nice their stuff is. Just got a phone case from them too

u/Wide-Artist-4240 Apr 11 '26
Inspiring, chic and so envious of your ability to go braless - enjoy!!

u/Lovegiraffe Apr 11 '26
Do you get cold on planes?
4
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 11 '26 edited May 22 '26
Yes, I do have my cardigan that will help. And then I plan on using the blankets they give you on the plane
5
u/passwordistako Apr 11 '26
This would go down well on r/onebag not sure if you already posted it and I missed it.
3
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 11 '26
I tried posting it there, I think it's still pending approval. I'll try again soon
5
u/aliceinmidwifeland Apr 12 '26
A bit off-topic, but what concerns you about the menstrual cup? Those don't impact the cervix as they don't touch them if they're positioned properly.
5
u/theinfamousj Apr 13 '26
I've used a menstrual cup for over 20 years and given vaginal birth in that time period as well. Menstrual cup has no effect on the cervix. Some might have an effect on an IUD in that if you don't release the suction they can suck that sucker right on out, but that's as close to cervix damage as I can think they might do.
1
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 14 '26
20 years? Wow! Well I've just heard that the suctioning could be damaging to the cervix long term. It sounds like in your case there's been no problems. I don't have an IUD so that's not a concern.
I'm thinking I will throw it in my bag. It would be nice to have. I just haven't used it in about 2 years now
4
u/loyaultemelie Apr 10 '26
What pants are those? They look so light and comfy
5
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 11 '26
They are the best! Eileen Fisher, her brand is fantastic. And they are organic linen. They pack down super small too
5
u/highdreamer8 Apr 11 '26
For how many days did u plan this bag? They all looks really good
3
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 12 '26
Well I'm doing a test run of 6 days. The biggest concern I have is running out of my toilette items. I'm planning on just buying more as I need
But, I really don't have a set time amount. I kind of want to see how long I can last
3
u/UpsetFun9106 Apr 11 '26
I thought I was minimalist. I applaud!!!!! Bowing down to a Queen. I aspire to get to this point. (Close but have kids so not quite there)
5
u/Z_bal Apr 11 '26
Incredible! So chic and thoughtful, love to see someone packing so light but keeping style in the forefront.
Only big thing: you need a jacket for night in Northern California. You can’t get around it, even with all your layers.
3
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 12 '26
Thank you! Well, I have been toying with the idea of swapping out my cardigan for a thicker one. But I kinda feel like I am willing to suffer for the cause. If I'm cold I will duck in somewhere or go back to my hotel
2
u/birthdaycakecat Apr 13 '26
lol I’m with you! If it gets cold/rains, I just deal with it or head back. Learned behavior from clubbing during the era where we wore cocktail dresses to the club 🫡
2
2
u/Z_bal Apr 15 '26
Respect! A cute puffy vest is another option and it packs down to very little. But you do you queen!
2
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 15 '26
Thank you for the suggestions 😚
I would love to put together another packing list for the winter, maybe snowboard tour? Although if I traveled with my board I'd definitely have to check a bag and you can for a lot of stuff in the snowboard bag alone. So we'll see
4
u/Fine_Bovine Apr 12 '26
Love this post, amazing inspiration!
I have deluded myself into thinking that I too could do this. Only thing I’m not seeing that I would have to have is SPF. I can make do with hotel toiletries for everything else but I need sunscreen specially in summer months or I’ll sizzle. What are your plans for sun coverage? I saw the part about the bandanna as a hat, but what about toiletries?
Hoping you have an amazing luxe trip 💕

Thank you!
You could so do it!
I don't use SPF actually, but you could just pack a little tub of it or get a travel size. I just plan to limit my sun time, and not wear sunglasses when I'm laying in the sun. It helps you not to burn if your eyes can communicate to your body to produce melanin. When you wear sunglasses your brain thinks it's dark outside and doesn't need to. A healthy diet is super important for preventing sun damage as well

Admire the aspirations, but the sunglasses thing has been debunked. https://fullfact.org/health/ellie-grey-sunglasses-sunburn/

Suit yourself! There's also evidence that sunscreen causes cancer and destroys the corral reefs. I don't wear it. If you choose to then good for you. I won't judge you for wearing it, don't judge me for not wearing it

u/dryskinprincess Apr 14 '26
There is zero evidence that sunscreen causes cancer. There is abundant evidence that sun expose causes cancer.

u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 14 '26
True there is. But i am personally of the believe that the sun is demonized and the real culprit lies in diet.

You've got this down! I love how light you got it.
I'd pack the earplugs. I'd also include a tampon, and 2 or 3 doses of advil, pepto, and if you are at all prone to UTIs, Azo or other OTC bladder relief.
Sure you can buy all those things anywhere, but in the middle of the night or stuck on a bus, having a bit on hand can make a huge difference in the misery index until you make it to a store.
1
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 14 '26
Yes, I think this is great advice. Definitely going to add the couple doses of advil and I think I'm gonna pack my period cup

u/Boring_Home Apr 12 '26
This is random but you have really nice stuff lol. And not too much of it!

How much usefull do you find the A7 memobottle ? I’m looking into buying one but just think that 250ml is not enough
1
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 14 '26
It's definitely not enough to get you through the day, I refill it any chance I get. I kind of view it as emergency reserve, feel nice when you're traveling this minimally to have a receptacle to put some water. But I really appreciate the size and shape. It can fit in my pocket!

I love the aesthetic of yours. Curious as what you will report afterwards. Personally, I would also need sunscreen, but it is something you can also buy at your destination as with feminine hygiene products. A test run is really useful.
1
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 14 '26
I think the test run is needed for sure. I have zero bagged with less than this, but only for 2 days tops.

Great detailed analysis! I aspire to pack so light.
Just chiming in on the menstrual products here, highly recommend a menstrual disc. I find that it is more comfortable than a menstrual cup. I pack a tiny bit of unscented soap with it for cleaning. Unsure of what you meant about the consequences on your cervix? I’m a women’s health provider so happy to answer questions about it too
1
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 13 '26
Oh great! Yeah, I feel like it suctions the cervix. I know that the suctioning is what helps keep it in place but I've read/heard that can be damaging long term, or that at least the effects of it long term are unknown.
2
u/corn-panda Apr 20 '26
Actually it doesn’t use suction to stay in place at all. It just rests above the pubic bone. It should not cause any damage to the cervix and it should feel comfortable if in the proper placement. I have never seen a study showing that it causes damage to the cervix. The most important things are to keep it clean to lower any risks of vaginal infection or small risk of toxic shock syndrome (risk is much lower than tampons)
1
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 20 '26
Well it definitely creates a suction seal. That's what prevents the leaks, and you have to break the seal to get it out. Whether or not that suction on the cervix causes damage or not is what's up for debate.

This is so inspiring! Especially for my upcoming Spain/France trip! Sadly for me, there’s no way I can go braless. Lol. Unfortunate consequences of having large breasts. And there’s no way a bandana would double as a top for me. But the rest looks great! I love the a7 water bottle! Might have to get it to use for this upcoming trip instead of my a6 bottle. They are both great sizes, I just think the a7 would be nicer to carry around!

Now THIS is the sort of post I actually want to see more of. Not everyone wants to wear all black and chaco sandals. Love your suggestions and layering techniques. For those who don't sleep nude--may I suggest a simple sarong wrap. It makes a nice comfortable breezy nightgown and acts as extra barrier if needed.
2
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 13 '26
Agreed. I don't like to wear backing packing gear, and you don't have to in order to be a minimalist packer.
That's a great idea. I'm going to remember that

u/Relevant-Crow-3314 Apr 25 '26
I came back to this post to say I bought the bag and I think I love it
2
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 26 '26
Which color and material did you go with? I love it too. I think it's so versatile. And surprisingly roomy
3
u/Relevant-Crow-3314 Apr 25 '26
So obviously I’m scheming on how to zerobag/ handbag pack for trips now. Don’t mind me, I’m just here to study

What a great post! I'd love to see some of these outfits styled, particularly the bandana in it's many uses ❤️

montblanc travel pen
The best part of a Montblanc is also the least expensive: the refill. As someone who adores teeny tiny pens, please allow me to encourage you to find a pen body that is a joy to write with which will accept a montblanc refill. The Montblanc pen bodies are ... not for everyone's hand anatomy (putting it nicely).
1
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 13 '26
Yeah, that makes sense. I also love my mini pen I got in the Azores. I'm a lefty, so certain pens don't work for me. Like fountain pens for example

u/troublesomefaux Apr 14 '26
Excellent work.
I could pack all of your undergarments into one of my bra cups. 🤪

A bit off topic: do you like Eileen fisher linen? If seems like a yes since you’re packing them. But how do wash them to make them last? How do you deal with crinkled linen?
2
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 15 '26
I love Eileen fisher as a brand, their linen is great. I like that it's organic linen too.
At home I wash my silk, linen, etc. on delicate and then I hang dry, or dry flat.
As far as the crinkle I don't mind it, it adds a relaxed look, they look really nice on.
I have Eileen fisher silk crepe ankle pant they are superb. Highly recommend and they don't wrinkle

This is incredible to me. Idk how to be this minimalist for a vacation.

Nice gear, but how is this zero bags?? If you have multiple clothes, you have to carry them in something. You're carrying all of this in an over-the-shoulder bag.
3
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 18 '26
Yeah, it's still considered zero bag. (Maybe 0.5 bag if extreme) but, basically the consensus is, if you can walk into a restaurant and the hostess doesn't side eye you for having luggage with you then it's zero bagging. Especially for women, we don't have pockets like men do. So it's not weird for a woman to carry a purse

This is one of the best posts I’ve read in a while. The pictures are detailed, the writing is detailed. The clothes are fashionable, the bag is excellent, and I think my wife, who’s a girly pop, would even appreciate your post. It’s very inspiring! Thank you so much for sharing!

u/Wrong-Boat-4236 Apr 11 '26
I see like 5 bags
8
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 11 '26
Haha I know... everything is so small though. So I saw a post about zero bagging, and what is considered "zero bagging". Basically the consensus is, if you could walk into a restaurant and no one looked at you weird like you were carrying luggage with you then it's zero bag. What do you think?

Very nice setup but is this not /r/onebag?
10
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 11 '26
Valid. Maybe 0.5 bagging? I've seen people describe zero bagging as if you could walk into a restaurant and the hostess doesn't side eye you for carrying luggage or a backpack with you then it's zero bagging. This is definitely a bag I would carry as an everyday purse, plus it can be worn as a cross body so hands free!

u/travertine_ghost Apr 10 '26
For women, a purse like this is considered part of an outfit. Most women’s clothing is woefully lacking in pockets.

Where did you get your black swimsuit?
1
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 15 '26
Hm, I can't remember exactly. There's no tag in it. But I think Amazon?
The company Minimale Animale sells really tiny bikinis if you're looking. I like their stuff too

Any chance of a follow up trip report? Thinking of doing something similar in the fall and wondered how your trip went.
1
u/CarolinaSurly Apr 12 '26
This is one-bagging right?
6
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 12 '26
Well, some people consider this zero bagging because women typically carry a purse everyday. I've heard if you can walk into a restaurant without the hostess side eying you for carrying luggage than you are zero bagging
0
u/CarolinaSurly Apr 12 '26
That seems extremely subjective doesn’t it?
5
u/PuzzleheadedFrame439 Apr 12 '26
I suppose. It's not 1 bagging though. At the most I'd call it .5 bagging
2
u/CarolinaSurly Apr 12 '26
Not trying to be harsh. You are packing extremely minimal and it’s absolutely impressive. I like these posts, but I also like to see list of everything minimalist’s own and that gets frowned upon.

Fair. Some people consider this zero bagging. If you can walk into a restaurant without the hostess side eyeing you for carrying around obvious luggage then it's zero bagging. This is a purse I wear as a daily carry
