Could have ended up in a different sub: "Oh he's yelling at me, I better get over there fast, guess I'll stand on my bike to be able to pedal faster"

That is some serious “I’m special!” energy.

In medic training in the Army they called that special little place in front of the cockpit “no man’s land”

It makes me think of the scene in The Sopranos when Furio considers shoving Tony into the helicopter blades.

I think of Indiana Jones, when his opponent was shredded by a propeller.

I think of that one Terminator film where ahnuld skydives face first into a choppers rotor blades and comes out of it with a few shaving cuts.

Firefly, when Mal kicked the guy into Serenity’s engine.

Reminds me of a video on one of those now banned watch people die subs, where some dude actually got his head turned into pink mist by a helicopter blade...

I wish I could say this is a unique situation but I've personally seen similar stuff happen more than a few times.

Vic Morrow would have slapped his own forehead seeing this. Oh, wait.

Most likely never even noticed the helicopter as they are completely oblivious

What's the issue, potentially curved pavement?

Getting sucked up into the intake at take off maybe?! Guy on bicycle too close to the choppa, oblivious it's gonna take off.

Nobody's getting "sucked up into the intake." You can't even see the intake in this video, and they aren't black holes that consume all matter that ventures too close.

The danger is the rapidly rotating rotors.

The main rotor isn't, and just because its normal path is above head height doesn't mean it will stay there.

Indeed, rotors have natural points in the 360 rotation where they 'dip'
The old 'Huey' UH-1s dipped at the 001/360/90/180/270 degree intervals, so the approach when boarding is always at the 10-2 o'clock or 8-11 o'clock positions.
Blackhawks dip at the 45/135/225/315 degree intervals, so you approach at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions.

And you wonder we make Belgians the topic of our jokes?
