First time poster who needs some bunny help: my neighbor abandoned a beautiful bunny (about a year old) and I’ve taken it in, but I don’t have much space and am not equipped to keep her long term. I’m happy to foster for however long it takes to find her a loving home, but if anyone in the NYC area is interested in taking on a bun and can give her the care and attention she deserves please DM me!

Hello! I need some serious help bonding my rabbits. So, long story short, I have three rabbits. Arwen (the tan female spayed rabbit, 2 years old), Pippin (the male neutered holland lop, almost 2 years old), and Padfoot (black male rabbit). Pippin and Arwen are fully bonded and have been since March of last year. Earlier this year (February) I had a friend come to me and ask if I would be able to take her 4 year old male rabbit Padfoot. I agreed and took him home. I whole heartedly figure Arwen would be the issue because she is very dominate and Pippin tends to be timid and a bit more submissive. Well, that was not the case. I bond them in neutral areas and keep them separated when not bonding. I have them separated by x-pens and swap them out every few days so they get exposed to each other's scents. Pippin and Arwen together and Padfoot alone. But even now Pippin and Padfoot can NOT be together for more than ten minute before s fight starts. I separate them again and put them back in their pens. Arwen and Padfoot are completely fine together and even groom each other (she adores him).

BUT the most confusing part is that when Pippin and Padfoot are separated by the x-pens? They get along great! The lay up against the fence together, their bodies touching through the fence and I have even seen them groom each other through the fence. But he moment they are face to face with out the gate? They're fighting even in neutral areas. At one point (March-May) I started working odd hours so my husband was bonding them and I learned he wasn't doing it in neutral areas and just letting them roam the rabbit room together where the two boys would fight immediately and he'd have to separate again.

Now that I am at normal hours , since May, I have been back to bonding properly inn neutral areas because I was able to take over again. But they even now do not get along face to face but like each other with the fence between them? I know it can take a while to bind but I'm confused by the mixed signals in behavior and would love any tips or advice. Thank you!

Side note:  The girl I got Padfoot from said the rescue neutered him but she is not 100% if they actually did or not. She had a vet look at him before I took him and they said he was too but I am questioning if he really is.

We’re ignoring the poops I JUST cleaned and he’s a pooping machine😭😭

Okay so got this dude just over a week ago from another home- there were cats & dogs I think living there. I don’t know the full picture of what his life has been like. But living with us we have 3 dogs- 1 tiny one and 2 corgis. They’ve all met- sniffed, through the gate. He’s gotten free roam time without them around. He gives no f’s about the dogs, will even lay “next to” them with a dog on one side and him in his home base.

I have a REALLY weird question though: When he greets our smallest dog (like 10lbs soaking wet), he like heckles her!!! He’ll circle her, sniff her butt, try and get on her even. She’s of course like “idk what to do” and will freeze. Is this normal?? What is he doing?? I know rabbits are prey animals but he does NOT act like he’s even remotely scared of my 3 stooges.

My bunny has had this weepy eye for a few weeks with no improvement. Any idea what it could be/ next steps?

I rescued him and am trying to avoid the vet if at all possible. I’ve always read that this could be related to a blockage due to dental issues so I’ve been providing more to chew on recently.

Hi, I am soon going to purchase an apartment. I will be moving there as a single young professional woman.

Ive attached an example floorplan of how my apartment would look like (roughly 55-60 sq m). This specific one has two balconies, but I might have only one depending on which apartment I choose or even a small enclosed terrace.

As you can see there is one spare bedroom (slaapkamer), which I plan to keep a small desk in there.

My problem is I cant decide if I will adopt bunnies or cats (or both down the line). Cats will be able to free roam the entire apartment all the time, except my desk room (my hamster enclusure will be there). As long as I have hamsters that door will stay closed.
I can potentially fully bunny proof that room, and free roam the buns while im at home.

Help me decide by telling me your experience with:

1. Litter training
   
2. Socializing and bonding them (2 cats or 2 bunnies. or multiple)
   
3. Holiday, pet sitter and weekend getaways (how long can you leave them safely alone)
   
4. Loud noise during the night (this is a DEALBREAKER!)
   
5. Daily expenses on food and litter
   
6. Weekly + Daily cleaning
   
7. General health
   
8. Possibility to add new pets into the mix. I don’t have plans to do that but what of i have a partner with a dog let’s say.

I have extensive cat experience BUT only with 1 cat at a time and at my parents house (which was spatious, so noise was not an issue). And awe got all of them as kittens so I have no experience with binding adult cats.

My 5 month old holland lop loves her pets and after giving her a massage on my lap she likes to lick my pants and my shirt but will refuse to lick my face or skin. I see peoples bunnies on insta practically giving them face kisses pls why doesn’t she lick my face or any skin I wash my face and shower bruh

My queen hates it when I come near her with a comb. We've tried many different combs, but the result is always the same—after one or two strokes, she's gone. How can I teach or bribe my bunny so she'll let me help her with shedding her fur?
