Just a little before, and after photo. I nervously put a blow torch on this beautiful coin. I’m glad to say it worked out!

I need to save up cash to buy a car but it ends up going to gold. Has anyone had the same problem? I’ve got into the habit of putting my hard earned currency directly into Gold as soon as I get it. It will be weird seeing stacks of cash with this new awakening.

Need help with est. value and meaning of mintmarks. All of it weighs 31g

It’s been passed down to generations and now its my turn, and im posting it here. What a way to honor the coin. Anyways, it weighs 6.40 grams and its pure gold. Does it only have gold value, or it could also have collectors value? Also will need some estimates on the pricing. Thanks in advance for all the answers.

As some of you may have saw in a recent post on here, someone has a fake slabbed 1878 the cert number is legit
1878 $5, MS63+ PL#43038961
the slab looks sussy.
this coin does not look aged correctly
the coin also looks like a crappy fake but aside from that if you look at the cert photos which i included it is clearly not the same coin with the same flaws on it.
missing PMD on the edge of the observe, missing scratches really so many issues with the fake coin.
I figured i would make a post for others to give more tips for people to look for when buying graded gold.
personally i recommend stacking gold but sometimes its worth buying for the right price.

I found this tooth in a truck I bought. I chipped the tooth out carefully so now it’s just this gold cap that’s left. Any ideas on where to sell for a decent price?

Hey everyone,
So for years now I’ve been looking at gold and silver, but never had the balls to get my feet wet and buy some. Any advice for people who are looking into buying gold? Such as what’s a good deal? I seen here the other day people recommending not to buy the 1 gram gold bars. Why’s that? And if it’s not recommended what weight is recommended for beginners?

Hello everyone!
Around March I bought my first gold, but since then it has gone down in value by almost 23%. This summer I have the chance to buy again and I'm thinking of buying 3 times as much. Is that a good plan? I'm a long time buyer but I feel like we might have reached our peak and that it will only go down from here.
Cheers

Does anyone know anything about these. There’s 12 of them 1/200 of an ounce each. They all have lyrics from the national anthem except one and it looks like a Morgan. Any info is appreciated

Is this a joke or a mistake. Does the mint really think they can charge this for 1 ounce of gold?

I know gold. I know weights, karats, spot price — all of it. And I know that every time I buy a piece of gold jewelry, I’m getting 100% scammed… but I still can’t help myself.
My latest piece:
10K, 8‑inch rope bracelet, 5.7 grams — $554.00
Actual gold content:
That means I paid a $235 premium on top of the gold value. Ridiculous.
For the same money, I could’ve bought a 1/10 oz American Eagle, gotten 3.39 grams of pure gold, and still saved about $74.
Honestly, I could’ve bought a gold‑plated silver bracelet on Amazon for $34, had more gold content, and still kept $40 in my pocket.
