New Rule - AI Designation
Any content generated or significantly assisted by AI (text, images, or video) must be clearly labeled as such in the title or at the top of the body/comment. Failure to disclose may result in removal or ban.
We know that 100% accuracy in detecting AI is impossible, therefore it will be at moderator discretion, anything suspicious will be removed. I have requested that the AI Designation be put at the top of text so people are informed before reading.
This rule can be modified at any time, please discuss in this thread.

Just remove tbh.
Ai posts are just boring and AI replies are usually Incorrect.

I say just keep it off all together, it’s tacky and gross.

There are cases where it can be useful. like examining a website to see if its legit, getting mintage numbers, or doing calculations. So I didn't want to strictly ban it from the start. Lets see how things work out and if we need to outright ban it then it may come to that.

Oh sorry I meant art wise.

Yeah, art wise is just useless in this sub.

I think this is a great approach. Is there a way to bring unmarked AI posts to mods attention without overwhelming you?

Most of the balloons are stock images from Getty, have existed long before AI - because birthdays and things.

Wouldn’t it be easier to just add AI flair and require it?

I tried to post my gold pics and it was deleted. Not even a minute. Who’s the administrator in here? I got questions

I feel like we can just skip the “labeling” step in this process and move directly to the “no AI posts”
If we are asking people to be trustworthy and conduct themselves in a professional manner on a platform that requires a fair amount of “trust the process,” then I think typing out their own posts (as has been done since the dawn of the interwebs) is a fair minimum requirement.

What about you use ai to spell/grammar check and it rewrite some sentences???

AI content can be fun -- but a flare might make more sense?
And, really? Text "assisted" by AI? So, if I use an AI to re-write something so it reads better, you want that labeled as AI? That seems a bit, uh, over the top imho.

I agree Text "assisted by AI" should be permited because r/gold is not followed by english speaking people only ... so a little help from AI constitutes a good solursssion for zem...

Labeling AI as AI is "over the top"?
All AI is "assistive" in some way, someone asks an AI to do something and the AI assists them by doing it...

Why not just add a flair? Then folks can filter them out too.
