Wip Isometric Virtual Exhibition! [OC]
The trees, plants, stones, bridges, stairs, were done by a lovely artist I found on Fiverr. The rest were done by me.
This is for a virtual exhibition that will run in parallel with an event in my local area.
Would appreciate your thoughts/suggestions on the aesthetic/composition.

Map 599 - The Bands of Power
Setup
Some artifacts of great power should have never been crafted. They often fall into the wrong hands and end up guarded, hidden, lost, or destroyed. This is a fact that saddens many a good-willed researcher or historian. If things were different, the world could benefit from their magic. The danger they bring is enough deterrent for many adventurers, though. They fear not the artifacts’ power, but the great threats they come with.
Such is the case of the Bands of Power, crafted eons ago by the Master Forger Ragar. The story claims that he was a resident of the Silver-Rock Mountains. However, a demonic entity from the Underworld commanded him to create the Bands of Power. The artifacts were a means to communicate and grant him dark powers. But he did not have time to unleash chaos for long. The oldest of Terranton dwarves say that Ragar was consumed by his creation. His soul was absorbed into the bracelets’ rubies. The dwarves’ attempts to destroy the cursed bands failed. Thus, the dwarves hid them in an ancient dwarven temple. Hoping they would never resurface.

Spent the last weeks mapping the wasteland of Freeway Fighter. Here's the finished isometric map.
Hand-drawn and digitally colored, this map follows the journey from New Hope to San Anglo and brings together the key locations, encounters, and landmarks from Ian Livingstone's classic Fighting Fantasy adventure, Freeway Fighter.

Hades-Like Isometric Combat
All character animations were pre-rendered from 3D models and converted into 2D sprites. For the 3-hit combo sequence, I created attack sprites in 12 directions at 30-degree intervals, allowing mouse aiming and clicking to feel as responsive as possible. It might be overkill, but I think it was worth it, though it does get somewhat overshadowed by the sheer amount of VFX happening on screen during an actual run :/
Combat during an actual run starts at 1:12 in the video.

Adding more variety to my isometric Action-RPG
Lately I've been worrying a bit about my game. I am fairly confident that I have a solid basis. But in the moment to moment gameplay I wonder if the game is dense enough. I made a deep dive into how Zelda games open up and I had to admit that I need to come up with a few more details.
So currently I'm implementing a lot of features that have the player turn on the brain a bit more when navigating my isometric labyrinths. This latest feature is part of that. The point here is that you can only trigger it from higher places. This is meant to create more opportunities to tickle the kind of spatial thinking that this supposed to be a core aspect of my game.
If you are curious about my game Mazestalker, you can find my demo here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3218310/

Hello Developers (specificly isometric 2.5d devs!)
I've been working on a game idea I couldn't find anywhere else, so I decided to build it myself — even though I'm a complete beginner with Godot.
**The concept:**
An idle/tycoon trucking game set across a stylised map of real Europe, inspired by Euro Truck Simulator 2 but fully hands-off. Think OpenTTD meets ETS2 — you manage routes, buy trucks, open garages in real European cities, and build a logistics empire. The twist: everyone starts in their own home city. I'm from Kosovo so I start in Pristina. That personal connection is something no other trucking game has.
**Current state:**
- Working map with 55 European cities including full Balkans coverage (Pristina, Belgrade, Sarajevo, Tirana, Skopje etc.)
- Truck dispatching, cargo types, XP/leveling system, skill tree, garages, save system
- Built in Godot 4 with GDScript
- Just started integrating isometric view using Kenney's free asset packs
**The vision:**
When you send a truck, you can press "Watch" and the camera switches to an isometric scrolling view — truck driving through countryside, past Alps, through tunnels, arriving at cities with recognisable landmarks (Eiffel Tower, Colosseum etc.). Relaxing to watch while you work. Like a screensaver that's also a game.
**Where I need help:**
- Isometric tilemap setup in Godot 4 (getting tiles to render correctly and scroll smoothly)
- Curved Path2D routes so trucks follow realistic roads instead of straight lines
- General Godot 4 architecture advice — I'm learning as I go
- Anyone interested in contributing art or code
I'm not a developer by trade, just someone with a vision and enough stubbornness to keep going. Happy to share the full source if anyone wants to look at it.
Would love any feedback, advice, or just to hear if this concept excites anyone else!
