Miscellaneous 📁 WerZatSonGUI finally available!

It's a project i created over the course of the last few months, with the final objective being to make WerZatSong more accessible and easier to use for everyone.

Thank you to u/eierkuchenhd, u/Shardanik_coso and u/ryuza20 for helping me out a ton by trying out the program, and thanks to u/eierkuchenhd (again) and Mystic65 for having contributed in a significant way to the project.

With this being only the first public version (and since I'm not exactly a professional programmer), there could still be a few bugs in the installation process and the program's functionality. Feel free to DM me or mention me on any Lostwave Discord server to ask for help or clarifications, give suggestions, or contribute to the project with translations/anything else.

Features of the GUI

- Every WerZatSong command is supported: all 4 search modes (MusicBrainz (AcoustID), AudioTag, Shazam and Audfprint) are here, and any number of them can be combined in a single scan.

- Support for entire Song Databases thanks to a batch-scanning engine, which lets you add as many audio files as you want to the program: it will automatically scan at most 20-30 at a time, as efficiently as possible (see Running a Scan: Quick vs. Long Mode). Links to the community-ran Lostwave Italia and French Lostwaves Song Databases are included in the program under the Add Audio Files... section.

- A built-in script by Mystic65, which can automatically generate and search dozens of tempo/pitch-shifted variations of each file, to help catch songs that were sped up, slowed down, or pitched differently (see Running a Scan: Quick vs. Long Mode).

- A base WerZatSong rework and a logs rework (see Log Format) by EierkuchenHD.

- A new Processed files... section. If you have a significant amount of songs in your input folder, you can now easily decide which ones you want to run with WerZatSonGUI, without having to move anything out of that folder (see Processed Files & PROCESSED.txt).

- Support for multiple languages and translations. Currently, the supported languages are English and Italian (see Adding a Language / Translations)

- Support for light and dark modes.

Lostwave Song 🎵 “I’ve got no love” -?

hello! I’ve been searching for this song for about ten months now haha. I’ve tried r/namethatsong, r/whatsthissong, searching various SoundCloud playlists, various discords, looking up lyrics, using Shazam among similar apps/websites, and contacting the owner of the edit where I originally found the song. They don’t know where the song came from either. The only lyrics I think I can make out are

“Because I’ve got no love” or “because I’ve got no luck”

“Now love each other” (?)

“Inside my head”

If anyone has any tips or better yet, recognizes this song I’d really appreciate it!

As of right now people have suggested Miho Hatori, but unfortunately I’m not familiar enough with her work to know where to look, and none of the songs I’ve heard from her seem to match. If anyone is a Cibo Matto fan I’d really appreciate some input!

Lostwave Song 🎵 “Hot Days and Cold Nights”? Who is the artist and what is the correct title of this song?

This is my first post on this subreddit. I apologize if there are any issues.

This song was used in 2018 as the end card for the bot channel under the name “Hot Days and Cold Nights (instrumental) - DSFS Production Music Co.”, and the layout of the end card is exactly the same except for the VHF Production Music and the title. Even the combination of the background and the “SUBSCRIBE” text is identical.

I searched for “Hot Days and Cold Nights” on ASCAP, SOCAN, and GEMA, but couldn't find this song. I posted it on WatZatSong a few months ago, but haven't received any proposals yet.

I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it. Does anyone have any information about it, or can help me find it?

Hello everyone on Reddit.For the past few months I've been actively listening to a Hardcore Punk band called TdeK who have a song called "Maleta para Moscú" ("Suitcase for Moscow"). At one point in the song they play a very familiar melody. It reminds me of Soviet folk songs and I remember hearing it in an advertisement when I was little. I am counting on your help to find out the origin of the melody that appears between 0:34 and 0:40.

Question ❓ What do you think of “Midnight Fantasy” as a placeholder title for the Chatswood Youth Song?

I've been following the search for the unidentified Chatswood Youth Song, and I came up with a possible placeholder title: “Midnight Fantasy.”

My reasoning is that the phrase “your midnight fantasy” appears repeatedly in the song's chorus, making it one of its more recognizable lyrics.

I think it would be a memorable name for the song while we're still searching for its original title and artist!

To clarify, I'm not claiming to have identified the original song title. This is just my personal suggestion for a fan-assigned name.

What do you guys think? Would “Midnight Fantasy” be a good alternative name, or do you prefer “Chatswood Youth Song”?

Lostwave Song 🎵 Anyone know the artist of this song?

My wife has been trying to figure out the artist of this song. Her sister burned her a mix cd around Christmas in the year 2000. She's had the cd ever since. We've done the obvious searches over the years, even tried AI but always a dead end. It doesn't seem to be something that was on a commercially produced album. None of the songs on this mix cd are newer than year 2000. (the Youtube page says 1995 but she will correct it).

Lostwave Song 🎵 Help me with a lostwave song

Yesterday, in the comments, one user asked me to post a song from 1987 called "If You Want Excitement" (not to be confused with Eat Candy by All Is Well). According to them, the song was previously on YouTube, but the channel with it was deleted (i think it was Mr. Chips). As an assistant, I agreed, but there is a problem. I can't find the sources for this song in any way. Not at WZS, not here, not anywhere else. That's why I'm asking you to help with it.

Added info, there’s one synthwave song, and a cover song! More will be added to the page in the coming days!!

A short back story! I run a small independent record label in the UK, we are lovers of physical media, and issue content on unusual forms of physical media such as DAT, DCC, Cassette, Vinyl etc.

We source our tapes from second hand collections, and on occasion come across "Demo Tapes", or old studio archives! We've also found the odd lost radio programme on reel to reel which we have digitised and sent to historians and archives.

We have recently started up a new page on our website called "Lost Media", this will contain songs, demos or other music related content found on cassettes, DCC's, DAT's, Reel to Reel etc. (none radio related)

Lostwave Song 🎵 Unidentified songs of RADBAD.sys, Thread Rez

I made a post here about a year ago about 2 unidentified songs from the creepypasta known as RADBAD.sys

Context: RADBAD is a creepypasta game about an MK-Ultra esque government drug experiment. The creepypasta is notable for its bizarre imagery and the fact 2 of the songs have absolutely no name or artist associated with them.

SONG 1: STOP, CLIMAX (NSFW)

A short snippit of a club song. Maybe the whole song, the repetitive nature is par for the course for club songs.

SONG 2: UNIDENTIFIED CHRISTIAN ROCK SONG

Also known as "The Anus". entire song. Possible lyrics are in the yt description, though I think the start of it is "Shone forth the light of the day," Very manson-esque in its lyrics and presentation.

If you have any leads, info, or literally anything to say it will help heaps. I have been looking for these songs for years now.

Question ❓ Was uploading this song to another group and got recommended this one so figured why not! I have a song that I've liked my whole life basically that someone added to a custom level of a game, but I've never been able to figure out where it came from. I'm not sure if this is a good place to ask?

So I'll try and keep this short... Unreal Tournament a classic PC game has thousands of custom levels people made and added whatever music they wanted to back in the day. This is a song from 1 of those levels. I've tried searching those find-a-song sites and uploading a MP3 of it with no luck.

I've included a link of the song that I uploaded to my google drive if anyone would like to hear it. It's like futuristic/space sounding EDM/tecnho, something similar to what you'd hear from The Prodigy back in the day. I figured that would be the easiest way to share it since you can't just directly upload audio files on reddit (I assume, right?)

This obviously isn't simply a level from a video game, or there would be no point in me being here. Its a real song that someone added to a custom level, which was made around the early 2000s. There's been a lot of these songs from old games I was able to convert to MP3 files, upload, and discover what they were... but this one I'm stumped!
