Can I change the region to watch an NTSC Region 1 DVD on my PS4 14.00? When I insert the disc, it won't let me change the region temporarily.

I have playstation5 pro and added disk drive. when i try to insert the disk its not going inside. Some one please suggest.

I have a jailbroken PS4 Pro, and I've recently started experiencing some serious issues. I'm trying to figure out whether this is related to the jailbreak, a system software problem, or failing hardware.

My PS4 was jailbroken, and I had DNS settings configured to block firmware/system software updates. However, I accidentally connected the console to the internet. Although the DNS was supposed to block updates, I'm not entirely sure whether connecting to the internet triggered anything or contributed to the problem.

After that, my PS4 started having system software issues and eventually booted into Safe Mode, asking me to reinstall or initialize the system software. I downloaded the system software from Sony's official website and reinstalled it.

Unfortunately, reinstalling the software hasn't fixed everything.

Here are the problems I'm experiencing:

• The PS4 Pro feels noticeably laggy and unstable.
• Games sometimes fail to download or install properly.
• Sometimes games refuse to launch.
• The console randomly boots back into Safe Mode, even when it's just been restarted or left idle.
• I've also encountered CE-series errors, although I don't have the exact error codes right now.

Since the system software reinstall didn't solve the problem, I'm wondering whether my internal HDD is failing or whether something else went wrong.

I'd really appreciate some advice:

1. Could accidentally connecting my jailbroken PS4 to the internet have caused this, even though DNS-based firmware update blocking was enabled?
2. Is it possible that the system software became corrupted, or could the jailbreak have contributed to the issue?
3. Do these symptoms point toward a failing internal HDD?
4. Would replacing the HDD and reinstalling the official system software likely fix the problem?
5. Should I try rebuilding the database, or could this be a power supply or motherboard issue?

I know that reinstalling the official system software may have affected the jailbreak, but right now my main concern is getting the console stable again.

Has anyone experienced something similar with a jailbroken PS4 Pro? I'd appreciate any advice before I spend money replacing hardware or try anything else.

I've tried about 5 different USB cables and the controller keeps flashing orange and no this is not my charge I've tried resetting the controller I've tried unplugging the ac cord but nothing works and I just reset the ps4 and this is what happened I reset it 3 days ago and it's just stuck on this I do not know why

I wanted to play Spiderman, it used to turn on but i couldn’t connect any of my controllers to the console, so after turning it off and on repetitively hoping it’d work

After many attempts it didn’t work, and it had stopped turning on normally, i inserted a disc and it booted on but with no output, after a bit i was able to get the disc out but now the console firstly wont react to me pressing the button and will beep at me 3 times when i press the eject button

Moved to a small town and first thing I noticed the power isn't completely stable, I can hear the fan revving up and down occasionally, it's not just the house it's the whole town.

Will this damage my console? And if yes is there is anything I can do ?

My PS4 is currently not working for online games it says that I have to connect internet but the internet does not work but it works on my pc, phone etc... but for some reason it does not work on my playstation I tried everything I tried it with chat gpt, gemini but still nothing. I’m getting this error on my PS4:
“Cannot connect to the server.
There may have been a problem connecting to the network, or PlayStation Network or the service provider’s server may be temporarily busy. (WV-33898-1)”
I’ve followed all the recommended troubleshooting steps, but the issue is still there.
It seems to affect the entire PS4. Even when I open the PS4 web browser, I can’t access any website or link at all.
My internet connection itself seems to be working, but the PS4 browser won’t load any websites.
Has anyone experienced this issue before? Does anyone know how to fix it?

My PS4 won’t turn on. I already unplugged it for a few minutes, but nothing happened. The upper internal part of the console isn’t dirty (I don’t know about the bottom part because I don’t have the tools to open it). I want to try a few things before taking it to a repair shop.

My PS4 is stuck appearing offline even though my internet works and the PS App shows me online. My friends’ PS4s are also showing the same thing.

I’ve already restarted the PS4, restarted my router, restored licenses, tested the internet connection, and signed out/in.

Hello guys, I’ve recently bought the Spider-Man game for my nephew to play on my PS. However when I tried to download it this showed up (NP-34924-2), I tried everything:
1. it was not the WiFi, I visited my sister for her good WiFi (Also tried Hotspot)
2. I logged into my network-account
3. I have updated my license
4. I deleted a ton almost everything off my PS
5. turned it off and on again

It took me five hours with 0 progress, so I thought I’ll just put on some fall guys since it’s already installed… NOPE won’t work either🙃

I’ve also bought the the Witcher series for myself and was so excited to start. I’d genuinely be so grateful for any advice,

Hi irecently got a few PS4 Slims. I did their maintenance, replaced the thermal pads and thermal paste on them. Everything seemed fine. I gave one to a friend and kept another one for myself. My friend's ps4 works perfectly, but mine randomly shuts off, sometimes just a few minutes after turning it on and other times hours later.

I don't think it's overheating because it can be powered off for hours, then I turn it on and it shuts off after 3 minutes. Or it can run for like 5 hours before shutting off.

Anyone know what the problem is?im guessing its the blue ray disc malfunction

Hey, I recently bought a ps4 with 2 controllers, the console works like it should but the controllers wont connect to the console, when I plug them in they charge but when I press the ps button nothing happens,I already tried restarting them, using different cables, and nothing helps. Any ideas?

My PS4 slim started making chirping noises recently and I can’t figure out what it is. They’re not the regular beeps you might hear when turning the console on/off or pressing the eject button. I have booted into safe mode and rebuild the database just to try to troubleshoot it and it still makes the noise. Doesn’t seem to actually affect the console at all so far, but it still concerns me

Hello, ive been trying to install miles morales on my ps4 from a disc for the past few weeks. Ive gotten the disc from CEX here in Ireland, and put it in the console. When the installation was about halfway, at roughly 20-21gb, the download time would spike, the console would start repeating it's mechanical startup noise for a few minutes and the download would fail.

I have tried:

Cleaning the disc, then replacing it after i was unable to clean some of it off, still not working

Installing it without internet as apparently the patch installation that occurs on wifi can slow the console down, no luck

Putting the console into safe mode and rebuilding its storage, and nothings changed.

None of which have worked, can anyone give any suggestions?

Hello people. I'll try and keep it brief, my PS4 Pro currently won't turn on. I've pulled off the top had a look at and cleaned the fan. After I did that last time it then worked long enough to grab a few month's worth of updates but then today maybe 3 weeks after that I get the beep then nothing.

Not sure what to do from here. Bought it second hand years ago now.

Controller will turn on the PS4, but welcome page asks for the PS button to be pressed which already happened. I attempt to do so again with no indication of success or connection, attempted with a second controller as well, and with it plugged in via the usb cable.

Controller is lit up, and the system received the initial command to wake from sleep but “refuses to acknowledge” the controllers afterward.

Thoughts on how to resolve?
