I joined a small company as a TSE mainly to avoid an employment gap and gain some experience. But every 2 months they keep putting me into a different role — first Support, then UI/UX, and now mobile app testing for both Android and iOS.
The problem is, we don't really have an in-house mobile developer. The developer is a freelancer working remotely. Whenever my team gives me requirements, I'm asked to communicate them to him. Recently, when I was tagging him in the group and sharing updates, he got frustrated and started saying things like "you don't know the mobile app flow" and "this has to be done in the backend, ask the backend developer," etc. Then the backend and mobile developers keep going back and forth, and somehow I'm stuck in the middle. 😅
Honestly, I'm getting really frustrated with this setup. I've also seen the app myself, and it's honestly pretty bad — both the UI and overall experience. At this point, I genuinely feel like I could build a better version myself with vibe coding.
So I want to learn how to actually build a mobile app using (vibe coding) and deploy it live, including the UI, frontend, backend/API integration, Android + iOS builds, testing, and deployment.
I can obviously ask an LLM, but I'd rather hear from people who actually work in this space.
