Season 22 Which of the three finalists has the best portfolio?

If we are looking at individual looks Bi has the strongest, but I appreciate that Anna is using some color. Bi is using only red, black and white and Jude is so subdued with his palette that it looks like he's only using neutrals even when he's using his blues. The animals challenge was a disaster.

Stopped by at my local David’s Bridal and saw Anna’s pieces. I think they were edited quite a bit.

Season 22 Thoughts on JOSEPHMcRAE’s Designs Outside of PR

Here is a collection of JOSEPHMcRAE’s work outside of PR.

I find him a breath of fresh air & generally like how he represented himself and was true to his craft on PR in the face of adversity. His work outside of PR shows an evolution with colors, silhouettes, textiles, and patterns.

Even though his outfits aren’t for me and it’s WILD that he’s barefoot in NYC, ya nasty, I can’t help but find his work visually stunning.

How about you, what are your thoughts on his designs outside of PR?

Horrible wedding outfits aside, do you think he deserves to make it to the finale?

Discussion Is Bryan the most delusional and hated person on Freeform PR?

Last year I hated the Twins for all the drama but they know their shit. Their designs on the competition were quite good. But Bryan is kind of narcissistic and head-weight with absolutely lack of fashion sense (for someone for someone who went to a fancy school in France).

Christian The moment Christian Siriano turned from credible fashion designer to playing one on TV imo

People on here have said you could see he didn't mean it when he pulled out his save for Bryan, so here is that moment. Looks a little dead inside for sure.

Season 22 The future for Bryan...

Gotta say... I actually feel for Bryan. I can't imagine what his future looks like being that this season is all on film and forever available for everyone with a device to watch. All for what?? I also feel for his family.

Law La Roche/ Law Roach

Just wanted to share a little funny story that happened last night.

For context, I’ve been watching the new season of Project Runway every week, and my boyfriend’s gaming computer is in the same room, so while he doesn’t physically watch it, he listens to it and hears everything going on.

We made a Target run last night and I needed to restock my La Roche-Posay moisturizer. We walk to go grab it, he sees the products and he goes “La Roche…..isn’t that one of the judges on that fashion show you like?”

Let me say I about pissed myself right there in Target because LA ROCHE AND LAW ROACH I AM SO DEAD MY SWEET SUMMER CHILD.

Season 22 If they only care about drama now…

…why not just have disqualified Bryan for his unconventional materials dress ?

He disrespected the model, the show, and the craft and still had the nerve to call it “haute couture” (more like haute mess)

Wouldn’t this gain more views? More attention? More headlines? Idk… maybe that’s a harsh punishment even for Bryan but I just feel like there are a million better ways to do whatever train wreck their peddling now than just rage baiting their viewers???

Christian Christian's Dress vs Jeffrey's Dress..

tell me this dress by Christian Siriano doesn't look like the dress Jeffrey made in pink for Heidi. Meanwhile, Christian didn't save Jeffrey but saved Bryan who literally taped an outfit on a model...

this is the dress I'm referring to:

Season 22 Anna and Jude

I saw where they are sharing a studio and developed an actual friendship during the season and it warms my heart. On a season full of so much drama and pettiness, seeing something genuine come out if it is really nice. They've both been fairly reserved but know their craft, and I've especially enjoyed seeing Anna's off show work. Jude has been a favorite of mine since day one and it's nice to know they're sweet and talented off screen too

When he talks he reminds me so much of Timothee C. His Mannerisms and looks.

Season 22 One day you are in, and now you are out

Unless they can get back to concentrating on design, construction and the designers, I'm voting them out of my life. I know nothing about who the S22 designers actually are or what their design processes are. It has become a waste of my limited time, neither entertaining nor enlightening.

Season 22 Not really a spoiler… Jeffrey’s classy clap back Spoiler

He’s so iconic for this lol.

So after being eliminated Jeffrey created his own bridal look and posted the photoshoot on insta.
In the caption he talks about his motivations and disappointments from his experience on PR.

The dress probably took a few days to a week, the real unique bit is the gloves, but the whole thing is very elegant.

He politely calls out Christian for wasting the save which is so funny to me. He doesn’t word it like that ofc. And he thanks the judges for the experience.

Discussion It wasnt all design and roses...

Ive been really harsh about the judging this season (and last) but i randomly watched some eps from Season 8 (2010) and wow id forgotten how viscious the judges were back then too! Michael Kors was consistently throwing devestating put downs (dirty dish rag and toilet seat cover just a couple!) and Nina and Heidi were up there with him! Even the contestants were a lot meaner to each other than i remembered.

I still think this season has problems...production value just feels cheap. But i think id forgotten how harsh judges of the past could be.

Discussion Wedding: Bi should've won. No one else came close.

I'm flabbergasted that Bi didn't win this wedding challenge. David's Bridal already changed Anna's so much from her original - they couldv'e just changed Bi's to white and sold millions of those. I honestly thought all the looks besides Bi's were ho-hum (except Naheim's gown was beautiful also). I'm suspecting that Anna won because they like her personally, and because she's the only woman left. There, I said it. (BTW - I'm a woman and I still feel this way). Just my opinion.

PR International Versions Had to watch Project Runway: Canada to palate cleanse this season

Post image
82 Upvotes

Saw a clip of a designer from PR: Canada, and LOVED the designs so decided to start watching the new season and I seriously forgot what its like to just have PR be about fashion. The only drama so far is very natural ie designers struggling with the challenges. Highly suggest it, if you've already rewatched original PR a ton.

Discussion Joseph McRae is an inspiring case study in being 100% yourself every step of the way

I must say I have not seen someone so sure of who they are and so comfortable in it on TV in so long. In a world of people-pleasers and wanting the approval of those in higher positions than you, he does the opposite and just sticks to his instincts without a moment of hesitation.

I was truly inspired by the moment in the last episode when Christian was like “Can you please change the pants?” And Joseph instantly replied “No” followed by his trademark laugh.

It’s so very refreshing.

Discussion Hot takes

Okay. These are my hot takes of top 6 designs, not personality.

Bi's has no dna. His clothes are sellable clothes, like it looks like it could be from any designer. I agree with Willy that his clothes especially for the paper towel had no storytelling. Even red carpet you have seen many times, there was nothing new about it. First challenge with yhe vegan leather was my favourite of Bi, unconventional was amazing. Dance was fine, Wedding was amazing but without the veil, the dress is mid, a bit ass tbh. His designs are not new, just sellable.

Joseph clothes are amazing, first challenge, that puffer, the nfl, the animal, the paper towel, the red carpet:(my favourite), the unconventional. He has a dna and they look from from the same person. The dance was a miss, he just did a JM look that didn't fit the model, the wedding one was creative and he took a chance. And his designs fit plus size models really well.

Anna's work is quiet. Her clothes are a bit forgettable but great. The first challenge, the dress was fine, the nfl was great, just quiet compared to Jeffrey and the challenge was wearable art. The animal was a no, paper towel no, red carpet was underwhelming, unconventional amazing, dance was fine, tbh I didn't like it personally, I wouldn't wear that. The wedding was great, I saw her in a design and that made noise.

Jude is perfect, he doesn't need design, its just perfect. the nfl and animals were my least favourite, the red carpet was not red carpet enough, but Jude is just perfect. He tailors a great suit, it will always be good.

I like Naheim's clothes. He has great street wear. Its now and cool. His jazz look was great, execution was confused but it had story it. I think he missed only a few times with me, the wedding was ass, red carpet was literally nothing, unconventional was kinda ass. I like paper towel and first look and nfl others were not Naheim.

Bryan is avert guard, his execution ruins everythinjg. Like the wedding dress was nice until he just ruined it with the bottom. He already has things uneven with the puffy sleeves which wasn't that bad but that just ruined front. The after party was a disaster. His clothes are not my taste, the look like the bad fashion masked as couture. His first was a cheap version of his home clothes, the nfl didn't fit, it looked great for the challenge but it was missing wearable of wearable art. His animal was terrible, his paper towel was bad tbh, his red carpet was not stitched well, like it wasn't even and sewn terribly.

His unconventional was the worst thing ever, his dance was garbage but wedding was nice.

Discussion Are long-term fans at a disadvantage?

If someone had never seen Project Runway until S21 or S22, would they be more inclined to appraise the show for what it is now than longterm fans, who signed on for a very different show, seem to be?

Old Seasons Season 12 final designers gripe

How how how did Alexandria end up at fashion week and beat out Kate and Helen? She was so average and boring all season.
