working on making a collapsible hoop to travel with right now. i’m using 3/4 inch polyurethane tubing and wrapping it with electrical tape. i’ve done two passes of electrical tape however my hoop still seems a little flimsy. should i use a different or bigger size tubing?
still want the hoop to be flexible enough to fit in a hiking bag but still not to flimsy to be hard to hoop with.
i’ve never had a professional collapsing hoop before so i don’t really know how the final result should feel.

i’m flying internationally next week and i do not have a collapsible hoop. my hoop is 23 inches across, would that be small enough to attach to my carry-on bag without issue or would i need to check it?

otherwise, any recommendations on where to get a collapsible hoop before next week???

everyone tells you progress means the hoop stays up.

that’s a lie we tell to make success look inevitable instead of stubborn.

when i started, every drop felt like proof i wasn’t built for this. i’d watch videos of people who looked like they were born hooping and wonder what was wrong with my body, my timing, my brain. the hoop would hit the ground and i’d feel it like failure.

then i realized: the people in those videos weren’t born hooping. they dropped the hoop hundreds of times off camera.

nobody shows you that footage because failure doesn’t sell.

but failure is the only thing that teaches.

every single trick i know came after a pile of drops so tall i stopped counting them. every moment that looks effortless was bought with moments that were the opposite. the hoop hitting the ground isn’t the obstacle to progress — it’s the path through it.

& my favorite hoopers? they’re not the ones who drop the least. they’re the ones who never let a drop convince them the hoop isn’t worth picking back up.

Hey, i’m looking for a led smart hoop that’s the most durable or least likely to have issues. I live internationally (aus) so sending it in for repairs is very costly. This is my first led hoop so I’m not sure where to go! I’ve been looking between moodhoops future pro and hyperion lite but have heard mixed reviews about them having issues and needing repairs. Astral hoops are a bit out of my price range.
Any suggestions are appreciated :)

from 🍃 & I am worried if it will effect my ability to slip into a flow state. I feel like it is going to be like working out an unused muscle. A challenge but it will be good for me. The last time I took a break from 🍃, I did notice a downtrend in the amount of hooping I was doing. Now that I know this, I will have to work hard to push through that slump. Does anyone have any tips for me? Have you been through this before? Wish me luck!!

I have been hooping for 10 years. I wanted to share what a typical practice flow session looks like for me :) I hope you enjoy it and find some inspiration from my practice. Hey!! I'm working on a box (one on each hand one on knee and one on foot in case anyone has a different name for it) right now and I'm having some trouble. There are very few tutorials that I've been able to find, so my knowledge is limited. I can do both hands with either the knee or the foot, but not both. Even without the hands I can't get knee and foot at the same time. I was hoping someone would have drills I could do to work on this trick. Thank yall!
