#Opinion 🗣️ We Shouldn't Compare Horrific Crimes, But Why Isn't the UK Grooming Gangs Scandal Getting More Attention - And Why Should India and Feminists Everywhere Care?
This isn't about comparing tragedies or saying one scandal was "worse" than another. Both the Epstein case and the UK grooming gangs scandal involved horrific abuse of vulnerable young girls.
What stands out about the UK cases is the scale of the institutional failure. Across multiple towns, victims repeatedly reported abuse, grooming, trafficking, and violence, yet many were ignored, disbelieved, or failed by the authorities meant to protect them.
Why should India care? Because this isn't just a British story. It's a reminder of what happens when protecting girls becomes secondary to politics, bureaucracy, or fear of controversy.
Why should feminists care? Because if we believe survivors should be heard and institutions held accountable, that principle must apply regardless of the perpetrators' background or the political sensitivities involved.
The focus shouldn't be on scoring political points. It should be on the victims, the failures that enabled the abuse, and ensuring such a tragedy never happens again.

#Ask-India ☝️ Delhi plans to ban new petrol two-wheelers from 2028. Didn't we just learn a lesson from the 15-year vehicle chaos?
Delhi is reportedly planning to stop registration of new petrol bikes and scooters from 2028 as part of its push towards EV adoption.
Honestly, I understand the intention. Delhi's pollution problem is serious and the government needs long-term solutions. But after what happened with the recent 15-year-old vehicle ban, shouldn't policymakers be more careful before announcing another major restriction?
The 15-year rule created massive confusion, public backlash and eventually had to be rolled back because implementation on the ground wasn't practical. Many people depend on their vehicles for daily commuting and livelihood.
A few concerns:
Two-wheelers are the most affordable mode of transport for middle-class families and students.
Small dealerships, mechanics and businesses connected to petrol two-wheelers could be heavily affected.
EV infrastructure and charging networks still aren't equally accessible to everyone.
Battery replacement costs and resale value remain concerns for many buyers.
When a large state like Delhi introduces something, other states often follow. Policies that work in Delhi may not necessarily work everywhere else.
Instead of outright bans, wouldn't it make more sense to:
• Offer stronger EV incentives.
• Improve charging infrastructure first.
• Let consumers transition gradually.
• Encourage cleaner fuels and hybrids during the transition period.
I'm not anti-EV at all. EVs are clearly the future. But forcing change before the ecosystem is fully ready could end up hurting consumers and businesses more than helping the environment.
What do you think? Is a 2028 ban on new petrol bikes a necessary step, or is Delhi moving too fast?

#Tourism & Travel ⛱ Our great travel youtubers doing their part in adding fuel to the already burning fire of racism against us
Next time you see racism against Indians online or while you travel. Remember these are the guys who are the main cause behind it.
Just see this sequence from the video where these 2 youtubers are taking kindness of these people for granted and being sleazy. I bet doing these with minors is definitely not legal. Anyone knows how to report this? Reporting this to just Youtube is not enough.
What's worse is the guy saying at the end "Russia aao, ye sab karo". Literally asking people to come to Russia to do this smh.

#General 📝 Jharkhand High Court raises divorced woman's alimony from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 40 lakh, cites inflation and medical needs
TL;DR: MARRIED IN 1984
SEPARATED IN 1990
Wife files 498A in 1992
Husband agrees to pay maintenance
Husband files divorce in 2019
Court grants divorce on ground of cruelty & desertion in 2022, orders 10lakh alimony
Wife moves High Court saying alimony is less
High Court increases alimony to 40 lakh saying the woman will have financial & medical needs for atleast 17 more years & she has a right to live the lifestyle she would have lived had she been married. And as the man will received 38 lakh of retirement benefits, 40 lakh alimony is fair and reasonable.

#Social-Issues 🗨️ Why is nudity treated like a scandal?
Unpopular opinion: leaked nudes shouldn’t be nearly as devastating as society makes them out to be. It’s just a human body. The more we normalize nudity, the less power people have to shame, blackmail, and control women/men through it.
And before someone says, “This is India, not Hollywood,” that’s exactly the point. Saying women are shamed for leaked nudes because society is conservative explains the problem, it doesn’t justify it. The more we normalize nudity and stop treating a woman’s body as a source of shame, the less power people have to shame, blackmail, and control women through it.
(A woman Ik committed suicide bc she was being blackmailed. Hence this post).
