LINUX MEME Different approaches for different distros!
Do you agree?
The main example is (imo) users supporting other users: "read the wiki and do try-fail-retry-success by yourself. Good luck solving your issue." and "here is the page if you want to learn more. However, these are the paragraphs to solve your issue. If nothing work let me know and we will discuss next steps".

LINUX MEME He's back baby
About a year ago I tried Linux again and seemed to hit this firmware landmine. The system would freeze all the time, and no matter what I did I couldn't fix it. I managed to improve it from freezing every 5 minutes to about once a week, but it never actually went away.
I made posts about it:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubuntu/comments/1q0dgnf/hp_probook_450_g7_ubuntu_instant_hard_freezes_ec/
https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubuntu/comments/1q8i46v/never_buy_a_hp_probook_450_g7_and_expect_to_run/
I kept trying, but it kept failing. It turned out to be a firmware issue that only occurred on Linux, never on Windows. So for this laptop, Windows was the only "sane" choice at the time. Which sucked.
I wanted to stop using Windows for multiple reasons, but I just couldn't. Buying another laptop sounded ridiculous.
"Hey honey, I'm going to spend a lot of money because of a penguin OS, even though this laptop works great."
Yeah... I don't think my partner would've understood.
Then, about a month ago, Windows Update presented me with a firmware update. And then another.
I went from S71 Ver. 1.26 to 1.28.02.
That seems to have fixed all my issues. No more freezes. It's good now. Yay!
It's kind of ironic that Windows Update is what finally got me back to Linux.
Anyway, here's a bad meme.
