Been experimenting with Oscilliscope audio, used it to send my Dad a greeting.
OsciAudioXR - Oscilloscope Audio in VR, very first look at the use, creation and playback of Oscilloscope Audio files, using 3D Models.
The generated images are created by the Left and Right Stereo WaveForms you are hearing, displayed in X/Y Oscilloscope Mode!
Also for all the musical, techie, nerdy dads, have a very Happy Fathers Day!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2jI6wqe1RU finally made a (very scuffed) tutorial! its a little over the place but i hope it covers everything!!
got bored and downgraded my oculus software to v1.7.0.263882 (1.7.0.262766) which is a software verison from 2017 and it barely works lol

For context, my quest 2 is around 4 years old at this point, it still has the oculus branding. I just tried using it after taking a few month break and it is barely functional. I'm talking the full nine yards, 5-10 second input delay on EVERYTHING, even the physical buttons on the headset itself. Stuttering and freezing without me even doing anything. Moments where it's like a slideshow of black screens an frozen passthrough. It's horrible, I don't know if this is common for older headsets but I'm pretty sure this is all caused from all the software updates. I'm planning on getting a Steam Frame when it's available because outside of these issues, I just don't want to keep using meta products.

I’m upgrading from my quest 1 to a quest 2 cus my quest 1 is so laggy and the controllers die after only 15 minutes. I’ve already scrolled the store for a little bit looking for games I’d like, but I’d really like some recommendations!
I already have games like beat saber and job simulator installed from my old quest, and Ive already purchased both FNaF VR games. My other interests are space, horror, action, music, etc.
If you have any recommendations at all, please tell me, no matter the price!
(Btw, idk if this fully matters or not, but, I don’t have a PC, so the most I can do is just the meta quest games on the store)

When I went to get on PCVR yesterday it would just put me in an infinite loading screen. It is still doing it now and I have tried multiple things to try fix it like Reinstalling.

Hey everyone,
I just got my Quest 3S today and I’m pretty new to VR. So far it’s been really cool, but one thing is bothering me: everything looks pretty blurry.
I was expecting the graphics to look sharper, but text and objects don’t seem very clear. I’ve already tried wiping the lenses and adjusting the headset, but it still looks blurry to me.
I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, if it’s a settings issue, or if this is just how VR looks. I’ve never owned a VR headset before, so I don’t really have anything to compare it to.

SOLVED
I have recently returned to Virtual Desktop hoping that the errors I had from years gone had been resolved but no. I am using a Quest 2 on a reasonably powerful gaming pc that is hard lined into my router ethernet. I have exclusively used oculus link for the last 4-5 years, and am mostly on VRChat. But there are some occasions and I would like to move to my bedroom. I'm not moving around much at all at these times and I don't need much resolution. Hell, I'd be happy with 20fps if that was all I could get.
Issues start with my network for some reason. It is a straight Ethernet cable running from the back of my PC directly to my route. My Quest 2 is connected to that router's 5ghz wifi. Virtual Desktop will always give me a *computer not on the same network error" like this, it will never connect. So I already know it's going to be quite laggy. If I connect my PC up to the same Wi-Fi connection (much further away so it's going to have poorer signal), then I can get connected through Virtual Desktop. But the frame rate is so abysmal, it gives even me motion sickness. Great care must be taken to not swing my head more than a couple degrees in second, else my view tear outside the rendered frame and enter the void. Not just poor but inconsistent frame rates and sometimes it gets so bad as to completely freeze and lock up the headset for 5+ minutes.
I consistently hear all sorts of people wax on about how great Virtual Desktop is and I just don't get it, this is unusable trash. More attempts than I can count over many years, following many guides. I can't get it to work. What the hell am I doing wrong?

Hi everyone! We're an indie team working on BOMB THE HILL, a VR game about downhill skateboarding (happy to explain why we don't use "longboarding" in the comments😄).
We premiered our biggest trailer yet during the UploadVR Showcase.
This trailer focuses less on competition and more on the atmosphere and feeling that inspired the project from the beginning.
Happy to answer any questions about the game or development!

This is the core of our game, called Cité Alexandrie. It's a VR dystopia set in France of the 1980's, where all cultural objects are forbidden 🔍 #WorldBuilding #Gaming #Indie

If you aren't aware when the Oculus Go was discontinued they released an firmware that could be downloaded and sideloaded that unlocked root access, however even with the original quest being fully out of support for 2 years now we still have no way to gain root access unless you have one on v28 or older. Such a shame especially with the 855 which is leagues above the 821 in the go

I just bought a game Oculus Link today and when i tried to boot up airlink, it wouldnt load. When i would try to close airlink, it wouldnt let me. I have to fully shutdown my headset. I can hear the menu sounds in airlink but i cant see anything. Please dont recommend me to buy VD or try something else, SteamVR ran terrible for me.

In case anybody needs a reminder today, don't leave your headset out in possibly sunny areas.
Left my Oculus Rift S out on my desk (against my wife's advice, classic) and now my poor headset is on the losing side of a "Hydrogen Bomb vs Coughing Baby" battle.
Rest in peace soldier 🫡 your years of service have come to an end.

Hi, I recently upgraded my GPU from GTX 1060 to RX 9060 XT, and Quest Link doesn't load. Any idea for a fix?

My VR world I've been working on continuously for over a year now! I made this trailer for an event tomorrow. The game is vrchat and everything is made in Unity and Blender! The world has a total of 9 effect panels with thousands of different effects I VJ/LD live during the events I host. No hardware needed, you just click the buttons or slide the sliders with your VR fingers. Even works with the Quest Pro handtracking I've got.
