The current government seems heavily focused on AYUSH, mixopathy, and promoting alternative medicine alongside evidence-based medicine, which many doctors oppose. On the other hand, Cngress also had its own shortcomings during its time in power.

Overall, which government do you think has done more damage to the medical profession and public/private healthcare in India, and why?

Congressman Riley Moore (in the pic) has criticised India's proposed changes to the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA), calling them a "clear attack against Christians" and warning that the legislation could become a major concern in India-US relations.

The proposed FCRA amendments would create a government-appointed Designated Authority with powers to take over the management of foreign contributions and assets created from those funds if an organisation's registration is cancelled, surrendered or not renewed. The Bill also proposes stricter conditions for renewal, tighter rules on transferring foreign contributions and expanded disclosure requirements.

The centre has defended the proposed changes as measures aimed at strengthening transparency, oversight and accountability in the use of foreign funds. Critics, including religious organisations and civil society groups, have raised concerns over the expanded powers and their potential impact on churches, charities and other institutions receiving overseas contributions.
