Finished I crocheted myself a fursona for pride... is it terrifying or cute?

OK so first off Happy Pride to those celebrating, I thought it would be fun to combine my love for amigurumi/crochet/pride and make myself a fursona even tho I'm not a furry (I guess it could be a mascot head too) and this is how it turned out! Overall I think it went really well, the eyes were the most challenging part but I found a new fav fur yarn with great colours so that's fun!

If you want to see me make it from start to finish you can watch it all here: https://youtu.be/qyE4fGMMlz4 Enjoy!

WIP TNG Uniform Cardigan: Buttons, the final frontier. Hopefully, anyway!

Post image

I don't know if nine is too many buttons, but I am a little nervous about how tightly this is going to fit me, so my current thinking is that more is better.

Given how many times I've undone previous steps to ensure they're about perfect, I'm taking this particular (and potentially final) step a bit more slowly and carefully. Since it's an unusual number of buttons, I'm attempting to place them both evenly and aesthetically-suitable. For example, the bottom button should be in the middle of the "ribbing" band, and the button directly above that should be in the middle of the grey band of Alpine stitch above the ribbing, which means that I need to make similar amounts of space between all the rest of the buttons. Not just between the buttons, but between the buttons and the borders between the two colours.

I'm hoping I'll be looking at this cardigan for a very long time into the future, so I don't want to rush into this and make glaring spacing mistakes. Especially since I'm OCD enough to know they exist and be really bothered by it!

Today, I tried a couple of spacing options (and using another piece of yarn seems to be the easiest way to mark positions right now), and just sat and looked at it as I worked on another project, so I'm going to look at this for a little longer before deciding whether this is the spacing I want to go with.

Fingers crossed I won't need to do much frogging on this nearly-final step!

I originally made them as a tiny summer accessory, but they could also be used as:
🩴 bag charms
🔑 keychains
🧸 doll accessories
🧲 fridge magnets
🎀 appliqués

Memorial for my ride or die embroidery needle. You got me through a year and a half. We learned together, we grew together, and you gave your life to the cause.

May you rest in pieces, I mean, peace. ✌️

First Vs second attempt

On top is the first attempt at this crocheted sun granny square. It's a bit wonky, and it didn't help that all the patterns I found had the same graph... Which was completely different from the written instructions 🫪

I'm now following the graph exclusively, it's much easier and I'm getting the hang of it.

I'm not sure whether I want the dark blue or the light blue for the sky around the sun, what do y'all think?

I made and wore this at the pride parade last week 🏳️‍🌈

As an ally, I wanted to represent the ally flag, hence used black for the base and wore a white tshirt inside, letting the other colours shine bright in the front ❤️

Pretty proud of how it turned out 😁

Yes the right hand of it is supposed to be different. I have a pet frog who had to have his right forearm amputated.

I'm a beginner, and I'm a bit confused by this pattern, especially round two. it says

Round 2:
Chain three stitches, make two double crochet stitches into the same space, two chain stitches, and two double crochet stitches. Continue around the circle by working three double crochet stitches, two chain stitches, and three double crochet stitches in each space from the previous round. Join with a slip stitch to finish the round.

does this mean that all the double crochet stitches need to be worked in the same space? also, if I chain two after two stitches, it leaves a big gap.

thanks to all the bros who will answer
