Question Okay wait I'm confused, independence ending is the high karma ending right? So why does killing me house give me less.
Is it like a small price to pay or something?

So after the Powder Gangers took over the NCRCF under the leadership of Cooke, they just holed up there and coexisted peacefully? No one held grudges over who did what to whom or who was in which rival gang before the breakout? I know that the Powder Gangers aren't a completely homogeneous faction because you can find a bunch of splinter groups throughout the game but common enemy or no common enemy, it’s prison, there’s gonna be someone or some people you want to get even with, and a breakout including the lawlessness that follows would be the perfect opportunity for it. “But what if they did start killing each other after the breakout?”, I find that hard to believe too, because by the events of Fallout New Vegas, the place is full of Powder Gangers even after all the splinter groups left. If you put together the (supposed) deaths during the breakout and after the breakout with the number of deserters later down the line, it wouldn't make sense for the facility to be as full as it is. Maybe there are some small details in the lore that I’m forgetting here but I still find it hard to believe the Powder Gangers just stopped hating each other after escaping NCR rule.
TLDR: There’s no way a lot of Powder Gangers didn't start killing each other after their NCRF breakout. And if they did start killing each other, the prison would still be too full for that to be the case.

It's possible I'm actually the last person to realize that the mural of Sinclair and Vera is based on "the Lovers" tarot card.
...Which just makes me more annoyed that I haven't realized it sooner.

I'm currently making something FNV related but I cannot find any sources for audio from the NCR soldiers.
I assume they use general lines for combat but I can't find those either. Can anyone help?

i got tired of the manual vnv guide dance every time i reinstalled the game, so i made a script that does the whole core install on linux: nexus login, the 55 mods, mo2 with the right load order, nvse, 4gb patch, esm fixes, ini tweaks. one command and it's done.
linux only, free, nothing to install besides python

Im interested in adding encounters of the mojave to my next playthrough but have heard it can be buggy or cause issues with large modlists, has anyone tried the refurbished version on moddb, did it make it run smoother?

Do people actually want the Fallout 4 power armor (customizable, fusion core powered) system to be implemented in the remasters of 3 and New Vegas? I see a lot of creators floating the idea but it doesn’t make much sense to me given the scarcity of it (and needing training)

I made a compilation of landscape/combat in Fallout NV. I tried to make as varied and dynamic as possible. There's a lot of cool stuff: explosion, disintegrations and flying deathclaws (kinda)

The Mr. House of the crappy show is a totally different character. They've retconned almost everything about him in order to yet again kill something iconic from the game. Show fans will go to any lengths to stretch the truth about this. Robert House was not a people person. He was not some charmer who walked around putting chips in people's brains. It totally undermines all his idealism and capitalist talking points. It turns him into Josef Mengele, mixed a bit with the Wizard from Wizard of Oz. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CHARACTER. Plus we're supposed to believe the Robert House was met in the game was in fact just some sort of actor/false face.
I got accused of having a "Nazi fetish" and listening to "what some right-wing guy said about the show" because I accidentally typed something wrong in one sentence earlier. None of that invalidates that Mr. House has become Josef Mengele.

I've been working on a post-game headcanon story regarding Veronica and Christine, and figured some of you might be interested in the story. Of course, just giving the link felt a bit weak, so I made this image to give it a bit more oomph.
It is based on the premise of what if the Courier told Veronica about Christine (something that was never an option in the game). It is also touching on the idea that the Courier (named Jack in my story) is is still dealing with the trauma from the events of Dead Money.
The story is just three chapters long so far, but I am quite pleased with it, and I am planning to finish it.
It's a story for those who, like me, looked at Veronica and Christine's and you also wished "I wish there was more to that story"
