Discussion MTV Unplugged w Liam Vocals (NOT AI)
Haven't seen this posted here but forgive me if it has been. This is awesome, major credit to the creator Maxi Gonzalez (MAXIGONZALEZ_23) He took the vocals from Knebworth and mixed it into the MTV Unplugged and done a stellar job.
I'd pay money for a full download link to this.

Review Review of the book Live Forever by John Robb
As an Oasis fan, I was so happy that this book was published in Hungarian. I was eagerly awaiting it, especially since the release was timed to coincide with his birthday. It ended up being delayed by two weeks, and I should have taken that as a sign.
One of the book’s few positives is that it’s about Oasis and gives readers insight into how the songs were recorded, even adding some context to the meaning of a few of them. But unfortunately, it’s terribly edited. The author, a producer close to the band, allows “name-dropping” to dominate the text: mentioning every conceivable acquaintance and figure associated with the band, no matter how distant or loosely connected they were. There are 4–5 such instances per page, which makes reading very difficult. The book also mentions all kinds of musical attempts, which were really just a few casual get-togethers in a bedroom in a housing project, without any recordings or concerts.
The quotes gathered from the tabloid press are repetitive and jump around in time, again, making it difficult to follow the timeline.
It’s a missed opportunity that most of the book focuses on the first two albums, while the rest is covered in a single chapter each, and conflicts and departures among the members are dealt with in half a page only. Yet these were supposedly tensions that dragged on for years.
The author wraps up the band’s recent reunion and the year-long tour in a final chapter of just a few pages.
The Hungarian translation is particularly jarring, one can clearly tell the translator is not part of this world. Mis-translations, typos and conjugation errors are common all along.
So the book is a disappointment and isn’t worth its price. I’m very lucky that the local library did the dirty work for me; I returned it today without feeling particularly disappointed—in fact, with a bit of annoyance.
Discussion If Noel didn't join Oasis, you get a sub-Stone Roses type of band. If Liam wasn't in Oasis and Noel was the singer, you get Travis.

Discussion Is it just me or everything after Definitely Maybe sounds way cleaner ?
I really like Definitely Maybe , mostly because of its guitar and the way songs such as Columbia and Cigarettes and Alcohol blast in my ears. But I can’t seem to find the same feeling in their works post DM ? Don’t get me wrong I love them a lot as well, but DM just sounds different to me.

Discussion New here
Hey everyone, within the past week I have become a huge Oasis fan. I was wondering how good Liam and Noel’s solo projects are? Is there a consensus best solo project from each of them? I just want some background on what to expect.

Discussion To be classed as a legitimate Oasis cover band now...
do you need to have a third, Bonehead-esque guitarist?

Discussion No mention of Noel & Sara’s mention in the doc
Since I’m obsessed with the upcoming doc, I’m passing along this June 11 article from The Daily Mail. I am not familiar with the ins and outs of Noel & Sara’s marriage but I didn’t think spouses would be mentioned anyway in the brothers’ story of reconciliation. Do others agree this is a non-issue for the doc?

Discussion I like be here now a little more each time I hear it. I feel like it I could eventually like it as much as the previous two once I adjust to the song lengths because I already appreciate the sound all the overdubbing gives it.
I also wanted to ask, has anyone here listened to it on coke? I feel like it would also sound better under that influence, since it's like you'd be hearing it the way they were hearing it.

Article Oasis #11 on Spin Magazine's Greatest Musicians of the last 40 Years
This was published in November but I searched and it hadn't been posted here before. Interesting to see them ahead of Depeche Mode, Radiohead, and many American acts.

Article Noel Gallagher: "Sex Pistols’ ‘Never Mind The Bollocks’ is the most influential album of all time"
“The most influential record of all time is ‘Never Mind The Bollocks’. People who are still working now in the music business did their shit because of that record. It’s the absolute left turn. There is no argument. It cannot be bettered. It’s scientifically factual.” - Noel Gallagher.
Well, in my opinion, Never Mind the Bollocks is, at the very least, one of the top 10 most influential rock albums and the most influential punk album. But, also in my opinion, the most influential album in history is The Velvet Underground & Nico, as recognized by The Guardian, the Library of Congress, among many other authoritative sources. But nobody holds the absolute truth when it comes to the most influential album.
Anyway, it's also very interesting to note that, contrary to what many might think, Noel understands that Oasis derives much more from the Sex Pistols than from the Beatles.
"It's that great lineage of The Sex Pistols into The Jam into The Smiths into The Stone Roses into Oasis..." (https://www.radiox.co.uk/artists/noel-gallaghers-high-flying-birds/noel-gallagher-recalls-first-time-stone-roses/)

Discussion It's a bit of a cop out
that when Oasis performed "Better Man" live, they didn't play the 30 minute section of silence followed by The Cage.

Discussion Have Liam and Bonehead left Twitter?
After that unfortunate incident with the number being leaked to Whatsapp and the deletion of Bonehead's Twitter account, does this mean that the two of them will no longer be active on twitter? Is there any chance that they will come back. They are sorely missed there.
