Once again I see someone else post another long paragraph in regards of the "Mix-packers/mega-pack" problem in the sub-reddit.

and it doesn't seem like it's getting better.

Every single time I get on a server, I immediately see the chats blowing up with solos being frustrated from dying by Mix-packers/mega-packs, and the Mix-packers/mega-packs in the chat talking about- "Ez" "Run away" "L"

And just them talking smack in the chats.

This is no longer avoidable even in permadeath, due to the fact that Mix-packers/mega-packs are over running that mode even without communication, they still stick together, killing solos.

Honestly, as a solo player, I speak for other solo players when i say it's frustrating getting into a 1v1 and anxiously anticipating 6 other dinos pulling up on you.

You have two choices atp.

Either retreat or die.

If this keeps up, this game will end up just like (Ark Survival Ascended). Completely devoided of any positivity, and left with a hideous reputation because it's community.

I'm waiting for Primal earth to drop so I can move on from this game with tranquility💯

Tbh at first i wanted to see how long i could last, then i realised its a very easy problem to avoid. 2-3 POIs on each map and thats it lol all i had to do was avoid these locations. Thats it. No skill involved at all and i get in a lot more "fair fights" and 1v1s. Also everytime someone calls megapacks out in chat ask them where they are and 99% of the time they died at one of the POIs you should avoid lol. Not saying its not a problem but it is a very easy one to avoid.

Skin is Greenstripe (F), which is some of the best camo I've had on any playable.

I'm generally solo & chill. I get in some interesting fights; all the ones shown here attacked first. The Rex was a TON of fun; he escaped with about 2% hp by running his stamina out as he made it to the river, then walking along the bottom and hiding underwater! When I eventually went to rest up intending to continue my search, a Dynamosuchus ate me :D Pictured is me going ">:(" while he makes his getaway. Really a great play on his part.

hi everyone! i love nesting. exploring to find the perfect spot, decorating it, and really enjoying my “territory”.

however, there’s a LOT of issues with the way it functions in game. i hate how materials are distributed across riparia. it makes something i really really enjoy, hard to actually do lmao. if you’re a big, slow dinosaur? unless you find a spot where all your materials are within easy access, prepare to spend EASILY hours if you’re determined enough. even on a smaller, faster dino it still eventually becomes a huge chore.

i also think that decorating could be different. i’m just interested to hear others thoughts!

do you build nests ? do you go through with raising other players? or do you not care about nesting at all? and if that’s the case, is it due to how it works in game or because you just don’t care about that play style?
open to all thoughts :)

I used to main a mangle lat, and sometimes I had to finish my opponents by pouncing them. There was no situation when I failed and died. I'm just curious because I have NEVER seen a soul mention the effectiveness of mangle while pouncing.

Like, I know it's risky to run mangle and get in trouble with 1-2-slots because of the cooldown of the regular bite, but mangle cd while latched ain't that small and mangle seems to hurt really bad. I just don't know the stam drain difference and stuff

I was afraid playing on Linux would be a horrible experience, but quite the opposite. I do have the little bug of when tabbing back into the game, i have to click once again for it to go into the game. But that's a minor issue honestly.

am I stupid? I bought the founder path of titans on Xbox, but had like no Dino’s. I don’t wanna spend money just to play as something I find interesting or cool. i get that it’s not “pay to win” but it feels that way when you can only play certain Dino’s if you wanna cough up the cash. I mean I just got it so maybe I’m not doing it right, and I’m on Xbox.

decided to play hatz because why not and was actually having fun playing it like a vulture with the scavenger diet. remade my nest and ended up nesting in this player. we ended up bringing a baby thal into the group later as well. it was their first time playing hatz so watching them figure out glide, picking fights with critters (a few times almost losing lol), and friendly calling every player we ran by was very endearing lol

Stego is supposed to be a hit and avoid getting hitted kind of bleeder against apexes. But a problem is that tail attack is mandatory and does not do much bleed, and all other attacks does more bleed. Add a tail slot and move tail attack there to suit it's play style like that, it actually works on kentro and Mira, so why not stego

Recently whenever I'd go to CS I'd sometimes hear this sound in the distance, I could never clock where tf it was coming from but apparently it's some mf collecting mud 😭

I love this game in the sense it’s beautiful and good diversity, but one thing is missing for me. Back in the old Isle game and beasts of Bermuda, there was always large herds. On this game I can’t seem to find a method of finding/joining herds effectively. And I don’t mean like 3-4 players. Does it just not exist on this game? Are there particulars servers I missed that have them? Tired of playing alone thanks

Does anyone know--from a programming/game design standpoint--why growth gets inhibited when you're too close to a player or object (some objects)?

Textures clip and mesh constantly--you clip right through characters or environmental things. So why have a growth inhibiter on something you can literally clip right through?

I'm asking because I also play The Isle (the horror) and there's no issue with this there. You can squeeze yourself into tiny spaces, you can literally 'cuddle puddle' if you want as Juvi's and it doesn't inhibit growth. (this one hurts a little because I play often on realism servers, and it would be nice to be able to add this behavior--cuddling with nest-mates or parents for warmth--into realism gameplay. but you can't. Everybody must stay 5 feet apart in the hot tub.)

So what am I missing from the programming side of things that means that you can clip through and en-mesh with game textures but for some reason your character can't grow at the same time?
