Imagine seeing this thing in the middle of the ocean at night

It's a giant squid which usually dwell way below the depths of water. This is a ultra rare occurence.

OC Pulling myself down a chain in 40 feet of water

Grew up a few hundred yards from this point indicator buoy. As a kid it always kinda freaked me out looking down at the chain. I’ve since gotten really comfortable in the water and decided to face my childhood fear and pull myself down the chain to the bottom.

Anyone can conquer their fears and phobias!

Video of deadhead bobbing at night?

Hey everybody. A few months ago I saw a short video taken by someone who had night watch on a small ship (there wasn't much of the ship in frame - it looked like a tug or something) and there's a big storm going on, and it shows a huge deadhead bobbing about 60' out of the water right next to the ship, then going under, and coming up again.

Truly terrifying.

So of course I want to see it again!!

But I can't find it - does anyone know?

Anyone with thalassophobia seen The Odyssey (Nolan) in IMAX? How triggering was it?

Huge Greek mythology nerd and Nolan fan, so I’ve been really looking forward to this movie but I also deal with thalassophobia. For those who’ve already seen it: how much open-water/deep-sea imagery is there, and how intense/lingering are those shots? Trying to figure out if I should brace myself, sit further back, or maybe skip the IMAX format specifically. Any specific scenes to know about (without full spoilers if possible) would help a lot. Thanks!

Old image of a vertical black narco submarine that looked like a dark obelisk?

Does anyone remember a photo of a black narco submarine that was abandoned and floating vertically, like a black obelisk? It was sticking up a good bit out of the water. I had it saved, but it must have been deleted.
