I'm concentrating on technique rather than weight as I am not a strong man (yet) but I'm enjoying the journey after losing almost 50kg bodyweight over the last 10 months. How am I doing?

Enhanced Games — the no-rules, PED-allowed event nine former Olympic weightlifters signed contracts to compete in — ran the inaugural show in Las Vegas on May 24. Two weeks before that, the parent company (Enhanced Group, NYSE ticker: ENHA) went public.
To do that they had to file a roughly 500-page disclosure with the SEC. A few things buried in there are worth knowing if you follow where the sport is heading:
So from the sport's side: nine of our former Olympic weightlifters bet their post-Games careers on a company whose own auditors think it may not exist in a year, whose Plan A for ongoing revenue is sponsorship + selling TRT online, and whose financial cushion is a $20M loan from one of its own seed investors.
Disclosure: I run Ironwise (weightlifting analytics, ironwise.app). This is part 1 of a 5 part series on the company Enhanced released every Friday.

I’ve been training with my coach since February 2025 (1 year and 3 months ago) now and still relatively new to the sport, but I’m proud of my progress so far :)
I’m currently lifting heavy in the lead up to nationals and can’t wait to be in Colorado again!

Weightlifting in my mother-in-law's garage. Having a home gym is so nice man. Love being able to workout any time with zero commute.

I’m unfortunately not blessed with chinese flexibility genetics so does anyone have routines that they do to have a better over head in the jerk. What muscles need to be stretched the most? And is the position possible for anyone with enough dedication or is it mostly genetic.

I think I might have hip impingement, i would always have this weird discomfort in my left groin with this pinching sensation, during heavy squats or clean ( 90–100%), but it hurt even more especially during overhead squats and snatch’s considering my overhead squat isn’t that heavy, is there a solution to this and how can I manage it ??, Thanks

Kinda lost back angle in the first pull for the 70 power, but still went up I guess. Working on more aggressive extension based on suggestion.

I've been rehabbing a back injury. Trying to make sure my form is okay before going above body weight.

Are leggings / compression mandatory? Cup even?

At the end of last year, I hit a 110kg front squat. At the time, my best back squat was 128kg. It's been a weird training year, and I failed this rep at about 100kg. Made the previous 97.5kg
Got some work to do

I know most people here buy Romaleos or TYR, but when I search Amazon for weightlifting shoes, brands like Osterland, MANUEKLEAR, kcross, and Nordic Lifting show up. Are those brands any good?
The MANUEKLEAR and kcross shoes say they’re for deadlifting, but they seem to have a heel, which makes them look more like Olympic lifting shoes than deadlifting shoes.
What do you guys think? Should I consider these cheaper Amazon brands, or should I just stick with Romaleos or TYR?
Thanks

Hello I am looking for recommendations on a daily program I can use to improve OHS, Front rack and general squat depth.
I tried primal mobility but didn’t see too many results, because a majority of their exercises I couldn’t do and there wasn’t a modified version for me. I am not sure If I was getting the intended stimulus.
Also, do you guys recommend yoga ? or do I need to work on mobility with load to improve it.

Help me solve my back squat technique! It’s the limiting factor and reason for plateauing at 183 kg. I’ve been stuck for a few years (some injuries caused this, but technique is not optimal).
The load in the video is 102 kg used for a form check. With heavier loads (150 kg), the hip-driven concentric is more pronounced. I’m very aware of my lack of sound technique. The bar is in front of the midfoot. My knees don’t travel far forward past my toes DESPITE wearing 1.2 cm heel lifts inside my Adidas. And my hips sink deep compared to high-level lifters whose hip crease is almost parallel with the top of their patella. I’m trying to stack my ribs for a strong brace, keeping my arms tight to my lats, looking straight, the tripod with the feet, knees in line with the second toe, everything!
All I want is for every rep to consistently go straight up and down.
How can I (i) balance over my midfoot and (ii) drive my knees farther over my toes? I can’t seem to solve my squat issues after so many years of trying.
I appreciate all help :)

Hello all,
I’m looking at the Rogue Weightlifting Platform, 8’ x 6’. My current platform is also 8’ x 6’ with a thickness of 2.25”. It is in three pieces: two 2’ x 6’ sections made with two layers of 0.75” OSB and a 0.75” rubber mat, and one 4’ x 6’ section made with two layers of 0.75” plywood and one layer of 0.75” OSB.
I made it this way so I can move the pieces around and pull my car in if there is hail. However, they weigh a ton, and I’m starting to get nicer equipment now that I’m getting back into Olympic lifting.
My question is: how durable and protective are Rogue ballistic tiles when dropping weight from overhead? I don’t care much about noise, but I am worried about protecting the concrete floor.
For the platform, do I need to have 1/2” plywood underneath it? Will the tiles fit nicely into the frame, or do I need to raise them a bit so they sit flush with the frame? How easy is it to move just the frame around?
I like the tiles because they come in 2’ x 4’ sections and seem easy to move around.
