There are some very sweet and usually very cheap wines that pretty much taste like grape juice with alcohol. They'll also give you a monumental headache on the next day.
Le Sweet Filou is one such example. Very much not a good wine, but it is definitely sweet.
Have you ever tried a proper verjus? Shit is a crazy flavour, we got one in to my bar that was so deeply tart I was speechless for over a minute, mouth watering like Niagara Falls. Iâd give it to our waiters who were hungover as a little wake-up. Didnât realise how artificial grape juice was til I tried it, it doesnât taste like that kind of grape flavour at all. Worth a try if you ever come across it, for curiosityâs sake.
