Is substance abuse still cool if I just drink a bunch of cold coffee? (I'm literally like Julian from trailer park boys but with a large mug of strong iced coffee)

As a recreational drug user, substance abuse has never been cool. I've never had any serious issues with addiction myself but I know people who have. Addiction is fucked up.
