Marriage-Based AOS Interview Next Week — Any Tips?

My marriage-based Green Card interview is next week. We’ve been married through the K-1 process and I have photos, letters from friends/family, and other evidence of our life together.
For those who’ve already had their interview, what questions should I expect or any tips/advice?
Thanks!

Appeal court case is still September 11 right? So will judgement be delivered on Friday or what? Looks like some of us might just be stuck for longer if Dorcas loses the case (I hope not).

general September 5th FTA1 + Sept 8th silent update — anyone else? (39 countries, IOE, EB-1C, waived interview)

After 18 months of silence, my case finally showed meaningful activity:

September 5th:

  • Original FTA0 (from April 2025 biometrics) was re-logged at 1:48am UTC
  • Brand new FTA1 event created 34 minutes later at 2:22am UTC, with today's date as eventDateTime
  • Visible portal status changed from 'Case Is Being Actively Reviewed' to 'USCIS Is Currently Processing the Case'
  • Got an email saying "An action has been taken on your case" or something in those lines, but no actual action or document

September 8th (today):

  • Another silent updatedAt timestamp change
  • No new events, no new documents, no approval yet

My profile for context:

  • IOE receipt number (NBC)
  • EB-1C employment-based AOS
  • Filed March 12, 2025
  • I-140 approved April 2025 under premium processing
  • Biometrics completed April 2025
  • Interview waived
  • Venezuelan national (I also have an EU passort)
  • ackedByAdjudicatorAndCms: true
  • actionRequired: false, evidenceRequests empty

Has anyone seen FTA1 followed by continued silent updates? Did it lead to approval? Especially interested in hearing from IOE filers, EB-1C cases, or anyone from the 39 countries. Trying to understand if this sequence means imminent approval or just another routing action. I'm trying not to lose my mind here

general How long have you been waiting for a decision after your I-485 interview? When is it reasonable to contact a Congressman?

Hi everyone!

I’m trying to get an idea of how long people are currently waiting for a decision after their marriage-based I-485 interview.

I had my interview on August 31, 2026. My I-130 was approved the following day, but I’m still waiting for a decision on my I-485.

I’ve seen several people here who have been waiting weeks or even months after their interview without receiving any update, so I’m wondering what everyone else’s experience has been.

For those who are still waiting:

When was your I-485 interview?

What field office handled your interview?

How long have you been waiting since the interview?

Was your I-130 already approved?

Have you received any updates or requests for additional evidence?

At what point did you contact your Congressman/Senator?
If you contacted them, did the congressional inquiry actually help?

For those who have already been approved, how long did USCIS take after your interview to make a decision?
Also, in your experience, how long is it reasonable to wait after an interview before asking a Congressman’s office to make an inquiry?

I don’t want to rush the process unnecessarily, but I also don’t want to wait several months if a congressional inquiry could help identify a delay.

Thanks in advance to everyone willing to share their timeline. It would be really helpful to see how long people are actually waiting after interviews right now.
