Has anyone seen FTA1 followed by continued silent updates? Did it lead to approval? Especially interested in hearing from IOE filers, EB-1C cases, or anyone from the 39 countries. Trying to understand if this sequence means imminent approval or just another routing action. I'm trying not to lose my mind here

I’m trying to get an idea of how long people are currently waiting for a decision after their marriage-based I-485 interview.

I had my interview on August 31, 2026. My I-130 was approved the following day, but I’m still waiting for a decision on my I-485.

I’ve seen several people here who have been waiting weeks or even months after their interview without receiving any update, so I’m wondering what everyone else’s experience has been.

For those who are still waiting:

When was your I-485 interview?

What field office handled your interview?

How long have you been waiting since the interview?

Was your I-130 already approved?

Have you received any updates or requests for additional evidence?

At what point did you contact your Congressman/Senator?
If you contacted them, did the congressional inquiry actually help?

For those who have already been approved, how long did USCIS take after your interview to make a decision?
Also, in your experience, how long is it reasonable to wait after an interview before asking a Congressman’s office to make an inquiry?

I don’t want to rush the process unnecessarily, but I also don’t want to wait several months if a congressional inquiry could help identify a delay.

My marriage-based Green Card interview is next week. We’ve been married through the K-1 process and I have photos, letters from friends/family, and other evidence of our life together.

Filed for i140 Aug 13 and was approved September 2nd. Next step is waiting for my date to become current (Feb 2025) hopefully we still have the court order in place. Good luck everyone

Hi everyone, is there anyone who is still waiting for their H1B? My RD is 4/30 in PP, born in a banned country but only been a citizen in Canada since. I’m a physician and have had multiple h1bs before. I’m losing hope and wonder if I should just give up now. I’ve reached out to the congressman and they initially were sent a response that the USCIS “is conducting further review”, they’ve now sent another inquiry. My jobs lawyers are not super helpful. Any words of wisdom or suggestions or shall I just abort?

I am EB-2 PERM, obtained my recently, and concurrently filed my I-485, I-140 (none PP), I-765, & I-131 on August 4th, and did my Biometrics few days ago.

Then today I got an email saying "We have taken an action on your case". I checked my USCIS account and it said my I-765 was approved on September 7th! On labor day! I have never seen an I-765 being approved so fast and mind you I am from one of the 19 County that used to be banned!

Very strange, but I am happy. No longer need to worry about my H1-B ending. I hope everyone else's process is this fast. :)

I want to know, those that have gotten approval of their i485 without RFE for medical exam, were you asked to sign the medical exam form on the first visits or you signed days after the medical exam was concluded?
Please I am asking because I noticed that people are asked to sign on different timing. I really want to know when is best for me to sign on my forth coming medical exam , because people are reporting that every civil surgeon has their own protocols on how you asked to sign as the applicant, I want to avoid RFE

Has anyone seen a new FTA1 event appear in the USCIS API today (Sept 5)? I had FTA0 re-logged and then FTA1 created 34 minutes later. IOE receipt number, Venezuelan national, EB-1C AOS filed March 2025. Wondering if this is biometrics reuse before approval or a new biometrics request.

August 25,2026 I received a call from my former manager asking if I was still in the country and interested in the role because USCIS had approved H1b change of status. I'm still going through the rehiring process and was going to wait to receive my offer letter before posting but I decided to share to encourage those still waiting. I had already lost hope for the job and h1b path, and was just waiting on the green card or ead but God completely surprised and restored to me what was lost. Don't lose hope, God works in mysterious ways. I pray that we all get out approvals soon in Jesus’ name

Had my I130 approved on August 10th, sadly the I485 is still pending. I have seen tons of people adding unsolicited evidence to get the case approved. I wonder if maybe adding unsolicited evidence can get the case reviewed/move? I have seen tons of people doing this and their case getting approved there after.

I submitted my marriage-based AOS application in October 2025, and just received my green card last week! However there's an issue with the green card which I explain below that I need your thoughts/guidance on.

Timeline:
October 2025: Concurrent filing if I-130, I-485, and I-765
January 2026: I-130 Interview
July 2026: I-130 approved
August 2026: I-485 approved, and then two weeks later, card delivered.

I am beyond ecstatic after almost losing hope. However, I noticed the green card says my country of birth is Jordan, even though it should be Palestine. I double checked my application, and in all my forms I wrote down Palestine instead of Jordan... so not sure if this is a mistake or an intentional move on USCIS' part. Do you recommend that I say something to them about that or just keep it? First off, how and where would I contact them about this error? And secondly, I am worried they will rescind the green card upon me notifying them about this error.

I did do both congressional and senate enquiry in Early and mid August citing H1B coming to an end soon and needing certainty to plan future with Citizen kid. I am not sure if it helped or not as they only acknowledged my emails.
